Let me introduce myself. My name is Ima and I've been mostly a Playground child the last couple of years. I'm feeling the need to branch out a little. I thought this would be a good place to start. I've been lusting to be with a woman almost my whole life. Just never had the oppportunity (or the courage)

Now you must know, I'm a cell whore. I'm on it now. I'm never without it. I'm also a coffee slut. Give me a good latte and I'm yours ;) I hope your weekend is treating you well so far. I look forward to meeting you.

Hello. I find one needs to mingle in other boards because all but the GB (hiss, boo) move at a snails pace. I like this board because people actually respond to me occasionally.

I'm exactly the same way, having lusted after women for most of my life. I like coffee too but I can't drink it because caffine exhasperates a nervous condition I have. Even decaff. Which sucks. Imagine... no coffee. Ever.

I can't imagine no coffee at all :( That would be hell. I can't have caffeine later in the day or I won't sleep at all. Makes my mind too active even if my body is tired. I stay away from the GB, as well. Though I do lurk and read at times. Some people there are really funny.

Hi Ima,

I remember seeing you a few times on the Vibe. Welcome back!

As to lusting after women, it's worth it :catroar:

Just remember, we are brought up to wait for the guy to ask, and as there is no guy in a female/female liason, you might just have to be the one to make the moves!

Guess I should say hi then eh Human_Male :)

Hey there! I hadn't thought about approaching someone. However, got to figure out who'd be receptive to the idea. A long time ago, there was this cutie at work that I now realize was flirting with me. I'm kicking myself for not going out to party with her.

Well if you want to be sure she would be receptive to your advances go to a gay/lesbian club, 99% of the men and women in there are at least bi curious. ;)

Some people go in there to get away from people they can't stand who keep hitting on them, mostly women oddly enough. The way to tell the difference, well usually the straights are tucked in the corner of the bar trying to look small, or in a booth trying to look small.

Coffee Slut?

How would you react to a coffee snob the likes of me?

Every morning I grind my coffee beans and I'd bring a cup to your desk? Up for some French Roast?

Sounds delicious. I would love to have a coworker like you :rose:

Ima, I am forever in your debt for introducing me to Lit!!!

There are many ways I can repay you... so beautiful, exactly how sweet do you like your latte
Mmmmm That's got to be the best offer I've had in ages ;) Oh, I like my latte very sweet

I'll never understand the love of coffee. The odor is extremely offensive to me. Not only does it smell horrible, it is so overwhelming that it dominates other smells which makes it that much worse. To personify odors, coffee would be the person in public who didn't take a bath AND yells and screams and never shuts up.

My partner does coffee. Our standing agreement is to not stink up the house with the smell of brewing it. So he makes it in the spare bedroom which is off the kitchen and in the garage area. When he goes to coffee houses, he knows that I won't go inside, and I won't hang around unless they have outdoor seating.

I don't think people understand just how addicted they are to coffee. I remember when a coffee machine broke (on one's fault) and there were people who were ANGRY. Some people left work right at that moment just to purchase a cup of coffee at some fast food place down the street.

Coffee addiction has become so dominate in our culture as smoking used to be. Unfortunately, few dare to say anything negative about coffee because of just how prevalent it has become.

I agree about the addiction. And the companies are promoting it with the "energy" drinks. And by providing all the flavour shots and creamers at the 7-11s etc. That way youth can by coffee and flavour it up into something else.

But I do drink it myself, and quite enjoy the smell of it brewing. But not on someone's breath

Wow, don't hold back, now. The same can be said about sodas, etc. I love the coffee houses not only for the coffee but for the atmosphere, as well. It's a great place to go and relax. And later in the day, I get decaffe. I'm sorry you don't enjoy that heavenly aroma and taste.

But sometimes it's just the right cheesy pickup line ;) I hope you've had a pleasant weekend, hon.

I wouldn't say the same about soda. You cannot open the door of an establishment and be blasted by the smell of soda. Likewise, how many employers subsidize coffee consumption as opposed to tea, soda, juice, hot chocolate, etc? There are a lot of people who cannot even come to a half hour to an hour staff meeting without bringing a cup of coffee with them.

If you need an analogy, imagine if garlic had the same throne that coffee has in our culture. (Like coffee, garlic has a pretty strong smell, and thus my choice for this analogy.) Imagine, that the majority of people insisted that their employers had to provide free garlic to chew throughout the day. That when you had staff meetings in small, enclosed rooms, a large percentage of the people in the room were chewing garlic and the whole room was permeated with that smell. When you went to some retail establishments like bookstores, there were sections reeking with the smell of garlic. Some trendy grocery stores even had large areas where you could pulverize your own garlic adding to the concentration of that smell throughout the store.

You can only take this analogy so far because garlic isn't a cultural icon. Thus you don't have to put up with the smell of garlic all day long -- unless maybe certain chefs or farmers with a speciality in garlic.

All I wish is that there was an inventor who would find a way to come up with a deodorized coffee for people to drink in public places. If they can make decaffeinated coffee, surely they can make odorless coffee. I'd like a few more places that were free of the smell.
