Hurricane Charlie is predicted to hit here tomorrow evening and the county has ordered a mandatory evacuation (over 350.000 people worth) by 6AM tomorrow morning bafore they close the bridges and the winds are predicted to be at least 40MPH and get stronger as it approaches.

Naturally I don't know how long it'll be before I can come home again or what condition I'll find the home in when I get here. Soooo be patient or write around my character if that's doable and I'll say HI again ASAP.

Of course the computer, monitor, etc is going with me for safety sake. Computer and Lit Addict? Nahhhhhhh, not me. *L

Take care one and all and be looking for all of you when possible,

PP

I’ve been watching the hurricanes (on TV from my living room in California) and I forgot that you’re in Florida! Take care Phoenix. Guess you’ll only see this post after it’s all over.

Thanks a lot *S*.

Still here and will be back and forth to the computer until it's time to unhook it to take it with me *L*.

If it moves a bit West or a bit East of the predicted track the brunt of the storm will miss here so less chance of damage. *fingers, toe, eyes crossed. Can't cross my legs or never get anything done. *L)

I recall the ones that rattled Tampa when I lived in that neck of the woods... always in prayers.. I hear that this weekend there might be a pair

Love to all you Floridains and I shall keep a vigilant prayer for you all

Bonnie was just a Tropical Storm and has already made landfall. Should be in the Atlantic sometime tomorrow.

Thanks landi. *S

Getting ready to unhook the comp, shower and take off for the hills, Zephyrhills that is not Bevery Hills. *L

Hope to see one and all on Sunday.

Take care all y'all. *s

Darn I hope the water got better since I lived down there

PHEWWWWWWWWWW!

Well was darned lucky. We, in the Tampa Bay area, dodged the bullet named Hurricane Charley by about 80 miles.
They're guessing about 10 Billion in damage in Charlotte County and it's far less populated than up here. Had it hit here and those estimates are close to correct it would have been in the 100 Billion Dollar range I'll be as we have a lot more barrier islands, beach communities, with multi-million dollar homes like John Travolta's, Lisa Marie Preseley's, Hulk Hogan's, etc. to say nothing of the numbers of reallly tall condos up this way right on the Gulf front.

Tara S (as in sweetie, right *g) thank you.

Landi.. it darned sure is. *L

Back again now and hoping the the next two heading to the Caribbean choose someplace else to worry and terroize.

Thankee. *G* Had it hit here I'd be homeless and possessionless along with who knows how many tens of thousands.

Thanks to be the heavens

Well I am sure glad you are safe...thanks to be the heavens that charlie decided to go another.

Sad for them of course. Better had he chosen to blow himself out in mid Atlantic, but better in lives and damage in less populated Charlotte county than up here.
My thanks. *S

oh no... one homeless waif is all Lit needs thank you

*SWAK*

wasn't asking neither *sticks out tongue and makes a face*
