I don't know if Bueno brands is on your store shelves up there but............they have a new offering in their frozen red chile. 'Special Reserve' Chimayo red chile.

I gave it a try and the flavor is everything I've come to expect from Chimayo grown chile. My only criticism is the recipe on the container. It came out a little too watery to my taste. The next time I make it I'm going to make a light roux, 2 tbls of veggie oil and 2 tbls of flour, and stir the chile in to give it a little more body without polluting the flavor.

I was looking for sean's one line lyric thread and found this!


We do have Bueno brand. I still have some Hatch and habaneros in the freezer. That will get me through to harvest.

This year I am going to try growing some bhut jolokia. Not sure how well they will like Colorado but I am going to give it a try.
