Help me out with an argument we had at work the other day...................

Reading your other post made me think of it.......

I had to put our flag on a small fleet of trucks and said the "stars and bars" always go toward the front of the truck.......some say then one side would be backwards.........If I recall you posted something about that awhile back and I also remember some big thing about that back in the late 80's about airplanes doing the same thing. (One side would be correct and then the other side would be incorrect)

So tell me what is right?....Stars and Bars forward???????.........................Right??????

Any other know for sure.......??????.. I mean I thought I did but am sick of folks telling me I'm wrong...........

If I am ....well I have eaten crow before..................

Well, if you look at the flag, you'll notice that the blue field is mirrored on both sides. What I mean is that if you have a flag flying straight out from a pole, the blue field will be closest to the pole no matter which direction you're looking at it from. It's not flipped from each other. If your flag doesn't do this, then it is permissible to have the right side not face the proper direction. Or the side that will be viewed the most often.

Ok cool then am I understanding that either or is ok ?.........On the doors of the tractors they had Stars and bars towards the front of the truck......

Thanks for the input here................Right now they seem to be running around every which way..............

PS: there are no poles on the decals just all flag.................

This how I was taught to display the flag....

blue field with stars always to the upper left. When viewed horizontialy or verticaly.
Hard to discribe, easier with pictures but I can't do much seaching for pictures with this crappy computer.
Anyone wanna a computer? ...... cheap ..... only minor sledge hammer damage.

Awww Dam then I was wrong...........

If I put a flag on a car door (drivers side) the blue is in upper left ...(towards the fender)

Pass side I put blue towards fender again ...........and from what you guys are saying this is incorrect........right?

I went with the thought if the blue is always at the pole (which it is) then the flag couldn't fly against the wind therefor it would fly backwards to the rear of the car then leaving the blue to the front of the car.....stars to the front fender....

Ok got it well I have a few doors to switch then....
Thanks all who responded...................
