Hey! I know him/her !!!

A while back I had some friends over to my house. We were cooking dinner and just catching up.

Well my friends were all over the house and I decided to log on and check my email. While checking my email I signed on to Lit. and I was reading some threads and I was about to post a reply... when one of my friends wandered over my way. He was looking over my shoulder and suddenly said out loud

" Hey, I know that person ! "

I don't know why but I quickly closed the window and logged off my computer. He kept asking what site I had logged on and what sort of site it was... etc...

I told him it was just a chat forum and odds are he did not know that person ... He dropped it but at times he is still positive he knew that person ..


Is it bad if someone recognizes someone on here and them go and tell them as to where they saw their picture ?

Or every one on here who has a real picture of themselves out to the world ?!

Just curious.

My opinion is that if you put a picture with your face on this site, you don't mind being assosciated with it.

Have you ever seen how many guests cruise through Lit at any given hour? They can all see the AV's, and it only takes an email to sign up and see the attatchments.

Is this not the reason must people work behind a 'Net-name' and dont use their pic as an avatar. I wouldnt want all the people who know me to know the stuff I say here. Those that need to know, ie: my partners already know

Some people here are very conscious of being recognised, there for they plaster some unknown or creative piece of artwork where their av can be found.

Personally, I'm not bothered about anyone recognising me, I just don't want people that know me to see my more, shall we say, colourful av's.

Apart from that though I don't care who knows I frequent this place, I'm not ashamed to be here.

I agree! I'm toying with putting my real pic for an av - I like EE's shading - or maybe I'll cut my head off.
