Hey Editors! Punctuation hates me...

Okay... this is difficult for me to admit... but I might need an editor. You see - punctuation hates me. Spelling, grammar? We're like best friends, but there's just something about commas and semicolons that I can't wrap my little head around.

So I need an editor - and it might be you... if you don't mind playing by my rules. See, the truth is... I'm married - so I'm not looking for someone to edit my work half the time and try to solicit naked pictures the other half (don't laugh... this has happened to me). Also, I'm a fairly determined lady, so while I appreciate your comments on my plot and characterization, and I value any and all conversations we have about the craft of writing, I'm really not looking for a co-writer. Just someone who'll make sure I don't miss any periods.

I'd love for you to be familiar with my work before you offer your services - I'm easy to find on Lit... I've been around for a while.

I'd volunteer, but I'm not just a punctuation editor, nor really an editor for a beginner, sorry. You probably wouldn't like me much, even though I don't care for any nude pictures.

Any editor worth their salt will indeed comment on your characterization, storytelling skills, word choice, etc. They won't be your co-author, but they will help you write a better story. Some authors can't handle that, though.

I'm a pretty vanilla sort of girl - usually I dabble in the erotic couplings/romance genre, although I do have ideas for other stories. I'm definitely not a whips n' chains/family members/dogs or horses sort of writer either.

I sent a message a few days ago but found out today that I had private messages and emails turned off. Oops!

I created this account on Lit after lurking for a few years just to volunteer to edit your stories after reading chapter 5 of Writer's Block and seeing your plea. I'm not looking to co-write or pictures just assist one of my favorite authors if I can.

Last night, after reading The Woman-King chapters, I've now read all of your listed stories with Not My Type being my favorite so far.

If you still need help, please let me know. If you have already found help then I look forward to your new stories.

Personally, being UK English based, I use the last of the four standards quoted, but you may well prefer the first.
