I know we have all done it at one time or another... missed an episode of our favorite show or simply stopped watching it only to have it go off the air. This thread is for those shout outs of "Hey did you see what happened on...."

Good luck and have fun.

The West Wing...

I know its been ages but all I remember was that Jimmy Smits and that other dude were running for president... the guy that played Leo M died in real life but I don't have a clue how the series actually ended.

Um sorry Auntie.
He died in real life about half way through the last season of the show they had to rework some stuff to apparently let his character die as well.

OK, since it appears to be spoiler information I typed the basic info in white. So Mat, don't read the white type or directly respond to the post and you should be fine.

In any case ....

Leo dies with the polls still open on the West Coast. Jimmy Smits character (Matt Santos) announces the news immediately, while Alan Alda's character (Arnold Vinick) doesn't say anything, not wanting to use the death as a "stepstool" to the presidency.

In the end, Santos wins his home state of Texas, Vinick wins his home state of California and it all comes down to Nevada ... where Santos wins by just 30,000 votes.

Santos immediately begins to set up his cabinet, naming Josh his Chief of Staff. Josh, looking for more experience, has Sam Seaborn (Rob Lowe) come back to be deputy Chief of Staff. Vinick is also not shut out, as Santos names him Secretary of State.

Before leaving office, President Bartlett pardons Toby Ziegler (who admitted to leaking classified information earlier).

Bartlett then returns home to New Hampshire, but before he goes he tells Santos to ""Make me proud, Mr. President", to which Santos responds, "I'll do my best, Mr. President."

Hope all that helps :)

Ohh Nero thanks oodles.

I was somewhere doing something for like the last several episodes and could never find anything online to help tell me what happened.

I actually pulled the opposite on one occasion. I watched the entire second season and the end of the first season of Carnivale having almost no clue what the show was about. By the time I caught up, having bought the first season on DVD, I was in love with the series....

And it was already canceled.
