We would say something, but we are so engrossed with the World Cup right now that we can't be bothered.

look at our choices we had...personally i voted for nadar but i figured he wasnt gonna win anyway *sigh* its always one of the big two parties

The Supremes gave him to us

Why, he's "our" President because the Supreme Court elected him for us, by a vote of 5-4! Remember, we didn't vote for him-- he lost the popular vote to Gore. Blame Scalia and Rehnquist.

There's actually a lot of opposition to Bush here, but it's largely underground because of all the repression. Did you hear about that commencement at Ohio State, where they suppressed protest against Bush? They wouldn't even let people turn their backs to him in symbolic protest!

The situation here today is very similar to that of Germany in the early 1930's.

Cause Clinton couldn't be re-elected again.

Unless I'm missing something in your opening post, what is your complaint exactly?

Without sounding condescending...good answer...

Is there any way America can change the rules of who can stand for President...

In the rest of the civilised world we would never allow people to stand as our leaders unless they can prove themselves first...

In fact the poorer they are to start with...

the better their chances...

it's called a democracy, can you say that dem -o -cracy, very good! and i thought the most dangerous man on the planet would be an ignorant loser like you!

Yes there is. Its called a constitutional amendment. But that hasn't happened very often. So don't hold your breath.

That has to be the absolute stupidest thing I've ever heard on these boards, and, remember, where in a p p man thread. Pu-LEEZ don't compare the crumbling and aging government, the rise of the brownshirts, the street fights with the communists, and the terrible economic plight of the middle class of Germany in the 1930s with The United States of America in the 21st Century.

Karl Marx fucked up because he applied his fascinating economic ideas to a world that no longer existed. Is this what you do with your socialism? Compare it the world pre-Korea?

Where are all the serious angry young men?

You are fucking insane. How many times did the ballots need to be counted??? Bush won. Every time the ballots were counted, Bore got a larger percent as more ballots were thrown out. Gore could not have handled the country. After Sept. 11 he would have been wanting to send money to the families of the cowards that highjacked the planes, and apologizing to the world about our towers getting in the way of the airplanes. The ruling the Supremes made was on counting the votes again. What of all of the military votes the Dems. got thrown out because the mail could not be picked up off of the Aircraft Carrier in time?? They were postmarked, and sealed, but thrown out, giving Bore a higher count. But, the votes were counted again, and Bush did win. Get over it, fucktard.

Because Gore lost. End of story.

It is flat out the truth. Gore didn't win because he lost and Bush won because he got the votes, that's why pp.

and I see RedRipple making waves again with his spew of "this reminds me of Germany in the 1930's"..........you make me laugh my ass off while jumping up and down. Your an ignoramus. Complete and total ignoramus.

Uh, Bush won, but Gore would have handled 911 quite well. Don't be ridiculous.

Come on face facts for once in your life...

Bush didn't win...

He just had more big guns with money in their pockets and a lot of exiled Cubans in Florida where, as you konw his brother was Governor at the time of the farce, right wingers laughingly call a 'democratic election'...

who were willing to vote for anybody who would 'Vote For Me And Cuba Is Yours;'...

same song, different verse already. PP just give it a rest would ya. The vote is over and has been for quite some time. Let it be. Bush won, Gore lost. Get over it already.

You'll get your chance to slander who ever loses/or wins the next Presidential race in a few years.

Wrongo, fucktard. The vote to overturn the Florida State Supreme Court's illegal ballot counting rule was 7-2. The vote to stop all the counting was 5-4. But since the counting had thrice shown George W. Bush to be the winner of Florida, it was a formality anyway.

Well that's fine if you want to jab him about current events, but bringing up the Vote that HE WON and Gore lost, c'mon PP find some new material would ya? That's been done, done again and done again.

Your entitled to your opinion as much as anyone but find a different topic to discuss other than "Gore was cheated and Bush fixed the vote"...........we both know that is not the case, even if it was (which I highly doubt) there is nothing you or anyone else can do about it at this point in time, so instead of wasting your energy talking about a moot point ~ find something more current and up to date to talk about.

Surely you must be able to find other current items about Bush to talk about.............?
