4 years ago I remember having that discussion on lit about hardening our schools, entry points, a police officer stationed in and at our schools
as long as schools are in session. I brought the possibility that if school teachers had military combat experience why not arm one or two or at least allow them a cache of a weapon to have an ability to react or just plain ass carry under a sport jacket, of course the response was *JUST WHAT WE NEED MORE GUNS IN OUR SCHOOLS* The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

There *ARE* still billions of dollars left over from covid releaf for school use, USE IT!!!

Unfortunately the problem is deeper than that. We've had a steady increase of violence within our younger community and it seem proportionate to tech, unsupervised use of the internet. Oversimplified I know.

We have another problem even more devastating, that is the loss of young ones to overdosing on fentanyl, over 108,000 deaths but because its not as spectacular as a school shooting it's basically ignored but just as tragic.

We dont address issues when brought in schools. They tent to get pushed under carpet. Like the shooting with the kid that the mother bought him the gun...Poor parenting. teachers dont have good control over the kids, sad. We all remember our times of getting our ass paddled.
