Osama Bin Laden. Just a man. That's all. He's got a few followers - he's dangerous, they're dangerous - but he really is just a man.

Let me emphasize that - he's just a MAN as are his followers - no women. Well - that alone is enough to doom him and his cause to failure.

Not only are they just a bunch of male fanatics... but they aren't exactly the best educated in the world, are they?

And they've got some weapons - but, you know what, they don't really stand a chance against the might of the US - let alone the US and our allies...

And fuck... put him in the ring with KillerMuffin and my money is on KM all the way - she'd beat his skinny ass and his narrow-minded stupidity in a battle of fists or wits.

Hell - Laurel, who can't weight but 90lbs would kick his ass across the room and back...

And my friend, Madame Pandora, probaby doesn't even weigh 75 pounds - she'd shred him to pieces without a second thought - and probably manage to write 3 stories at the same time.

He's just a man... just a man. All these terrorists... just some frail, feeble-minded assholes...

They don't really stand a chance in hell.

Yes... you're right lavy. But I think in many people's minds the fear they have is focused on this one man.

The fact of the matter is that the other threats - the other terrorists - the Taliban even - just a bunch of narrow minded assholes as well.

He's just a man just like Hitler was....

just a man! It's the ideology that's dangerous, not the man. If he dies, others will take his place unless the conditions and the supporters underlying his ideology are eliminated.

Bin Laden's main weapon is terror. What "weapons" did his organization reuire to kill thousands of people and destroy billions of dollars worth of property. Remember, his men used boxcutters to hijack the airlines.

All the modern weaponry in the world will not win a war against terror, particularly when it is based on a faith strong enough to compel it's followers to committ suicide to kill the enemy. No, this is not about a man any more than the U.S. position is about George Bush.

International terrorism goes well beyond this one person and even some of the Muslim cells include women. It's vaster than most people realize. You would hardly believe some of the people involved in it!

He is a man.

He is also a target and rightfully so.

He is also to be made an example to the many others who believe hate, fear and terrorism are acceptable practices.

My fear is that if OBL is taken down without shame and without being discredited, he then becomes a hero to that vast number of other terrorists. Thereby, the beliefs and practices of his followers will be perpetuated and possibly enhanced by rage, grief and idolatry. (sp?)

Their entire budget for 6,000+ deaths:

$200,000 is all it took. So much for the theory that it HAD to have been funded by a government. But that's what a few men can do if they care enough.
