Regarding the mosque near ground zero, Cain opposes it because it's too close to ground zero. Turns out that having a mosque 900 miles away in Tennessee is also too close to ground zero:

"It is an infringement and an abuse of our freedom of religion," he said. "And I don't agree with what's happening, because this isn't an innocent mosque."

Cain has been asked by Salon.com and other organizations why he thinks this particular mosque is up to no good but has refused to answer. Here's the mosque's website: http://www.icmtn.org/

"It is another example of why I believe in American laws and American courts," Cain said. "This is just another way to try to gradually sneak Shariah law into our laws, and I absolutely object to that."

Yes that's right, Cain is in full paranoid unison with Republicans that Muslims Americans are going to re-write the constitution. By the way, anyone know what Cain meant by saying he agrees with American laws and American courts? A bunch of bigots like him challenged the mosque on legal grounds (they tried to convince a judge that the mosque "harms residents") and the court instantly threw out their case. He seems a little confused here.

Cain has also said he would never appoint a Muslim as a judge or to any kind of appointed post if he was president "because Muslims aren't dedicated to the country or to the constitution". “And based upon the little knowledge that I have of the Muslim religion, you know, they have an objective to convert all infidels or kill them,” Cain said.

Yes, it’s always wise to make declarative statements about topics of which one admits they have little knowledge.

Mosques are an infringement on the American freedom of religion?

Grubby Herman Cain sounds like a man that the Vettebigot could get behind.

You see it done here every day.

True, but the tools here aren't running for office.

However, they sure do know everything about everything, so it makes one wonder why they aren't running for office and wasting their supreme intelligence online on a porn/erotica site.

Yes that's what he said. Building a mosque is an infringement on American freedom of religion. Making mosques illegal somehow does not infringe on anyone's freedom of religion though.

I like Cain, no problems here.

I think Muslims would make good judges.

So you have no problem with his bigoty and ignorance? He admitted that he doesn't know much about Islam but then advocates for making mosques illegal. That's the kind of mindset you like in your presidents?

He is right!

Mr Cain will come around to his senses. No judges, that's nonsense.

He's prolly thinking about the suicide bombers, the beheadings, their treatment of Homosexuals and woman, shiria law 'n shit.

As I say, he'll see the light, and appoint some good Muslim Judges.

You'll be happy to know that grubby Herman Cain has already seen the light. After getting his hand slapped by Fox News, Cain was quick to appease his corporates massas by announcing he had no problem appointing Muslim judges, provided they signed a special loyalty oath swearing that they would never EVER apply Sharia law to cases.

Sure, "loyalty oaths" as a precondition for public office are specifically prohibited by the Constitution, but as noted Republican Constitutional scholar George Dubya Bush famously opined, "it's just a goddamned piece of paper".

Yeah, if Cain is elected, I'm looking forward to a lot of Muslin judges....kind've like affirmative action......Even if they swear "loyalty oaths" 'n shit.

Cain keeps proving he has no knowledge nor no use for the constitution. Why do pro-constitution republicans keep humping his leg then?

It has to be an act. You can't be that stupid and still function in the 21st century.

He's a "words, not deeds" sorta guy, not unlike Saint Ronnie. He has the art of the 12 second sound bite down to a science, which appeals tremendously to the limited-mental-capacity demographic (Amicus, Garbage Can, Semen4dogs, Vettebigot).

Republicans are using Cain the way they're using Mark Rubio to try and siphon away the minority votes. They've always been trying to find black and Latino Republicans who can make big inroads into the non-white community.

There's a big reason behind that. Non-white voters overwhelmingly reject the GOP - in 2010 the only group that voted for the GOP by majority were whites. White values and minority values are highly divergent and their voting patterns clearly show this beyond any rational level of doubt. Add to this the fact that non-white births now outnumber white births and this means that the GOP is being shut out of the demographical majority of the future. The GOP's future is being threatened.

So their plan is to get as many Mark Rubios and Herman Cain's out there as they can, in hopes that they can sell Republicanism to the future demographic majority.

This is why I say we need to face Herman Cain and Mark Rubio as Republican Presidential candidate nominees, one at a time, and not bury them and kick them down beforehand. Each must have their turn winning primaries and being the Republican champion for President, and each must be beaten in a head on contest, their ideas faced and discredited openly.

If we don't take up this potentially devastating challenge the GOP will continue to pray to their black and Hispanic GOPers as potential game-changers until they just might get lucky. The odds are long that they will, but imagine if we faced Cain in 2012 and Rubio in 2016 and blacks, whites and Hispanics all saw through the bullshit and sent both these Republicans packing? The GOP would be so demoralized that they'll be hard pressed to field minority candidates for President ever again. They might, of course, but the Democrats will be well practiced to slap them down just like they slapped down white Republicans.

The idea of minority Republicans as game-changers can only die if we kill the idea in a full frontal political assault. Politically killing them off in the primaries only kicks the can down the road.

who ever does not 100% agree with H Cain

should be lynched!

as enemies of America

This, coming from a fellow who presumably hates Margaret Thatcher and the BNP. A fellow who is incapable of connecting the dots. A fellow who hates the Monarchy.
