That's funny - Lunky told me not long ago that his mother was alive and living with him.

She died two weeks ago. That is funny how?? Even I did not laugh.

Massive heart attack.

OMG! that was vile!

Wondering if he really thinks like that ...
or, if he's trying to win the Lit Most Despicable Award.

Better stear clear of that one Freya ... he's not playing with a full deck.

Boy, even using "Cliff Claven" voice for that one didn't help.

Is anyone else wondering if "mother" lives down in the basement in a rocker Ă  la Mrs Bates?

You certainly seem torn up. I would send condolences, but they would be wasted on you apparently.

As I live near the coast, the water table is too high for basements here.

I find Lord Lucan quite dry and very droll, with an exceptional command of neatly nuanced Queen's English.

I see no reason to dwell on the past. Old people die everyday. That is what they do best.

It bears repeating.

One can know a great deal about a man when one learns how he regards his mother.

Let me help you with that...

Now Cat Amongst Yourselves

I have to get some sleep and go to work in the morning.

Have fun at my expense.

I'd be surprised if you truly felt like that Lunky. I know how much she meant to you.

oh dear ... too late to see the writing on the wall, I guess.

Who me? I know he's an asshole, and he knows I know he's one. But I do know how he felt about his mother - without the assholish persona he likes to display.

Gotcha ... sorry for putting my nose where it didn't belong.

Hell, I do it all the time. :)

Actually Lunky decided after about a hundred insults from me, that we had some sort of bond, and pm's me once in a while. When my dad first got sick he told me about his mother - that's how I know.
