It is a shame to see these kind of responses to a question....this forum (and all of Lit!) is about different interests! You don't like it, don't look...and if you don't have something nice to say, well....ya know how that one goes.
It also helps feed into the feeling that SO many women have (TOO many women have!!) that their moonblood is something sick, and non-sexual, and dirty, and "wrong"...when it is NOT! It is beautiful, a reminder of the long-lost association between the water that ebbs through our veins and wombs and the waters that flow across the Earth. It is a reminder of the absolutely AMAZING fact that from our loins, life springs to exist again and again. That we hold something within us which nurtures Creation. That we are all a direct PART of Creation and the continuation of the species. It IS beautiful, it IS sacred, it IS sexual!
Now, whether someone wishes to SEE this, is another story. Just as some folks abhor sexual contact with a woman during her cycle, while some don't mind one way or another and some absolutely love it. For some it is a ritual, the painting of a woman's copper across her lover's body during that time...such a close, amazingly intimate connection which can preceed lovemaking, or come after it, when your fluids are as mingled as your souls are....but I digress.

I couldn't agree more. It is not a disgusting perverted thing. I may not want to see it here either but there is no shame in lovemaking during your lover's cycle. It is an intimate time that is shared most often by a woman who places a great deal of trust in her lover. It is a gift in that sense. I don't have a fetish regarding a woman's period however the women who have shared my bed during that time are well remembered and respected.
