Cool, I got to be home for the first game of the series....and what a game it was...

I guess what I was thinking though is, if it is a true world series, why haven't they tried to international leagues such as Japan, into the mix...??? Maybe they are not on par with American Baseball but if they are not included, shoul;dn't it be called the North American Series?

and speaking of football.... what makes the "Super Bowl" so super? I have watched many games during the regular season thatt are much better than the super bowl...

You have made very valid points! But, then I don't understand any of the games except "Why do they go on so bloody long!"

Because commercials only cost a few hundred thousand to a million or so during regular season games. Commercials run to the millions during the super bowl. What, you thought the "super" referred to the game itself? Naw, just to the fact that it the singularly largest televised cash cow in the US.

Do I sound bitter? I love football, but the fact that Brett Farve is making millions and teachers are making 40,000k or there abouts, just makes me sick. I understand why it happens, but I think it is a sad testament to our society that an athlete is worth more than a teacher, in cash at least.
