Demons and humans, they were like cattle to the slaughter at times. Where they both lived in seperate worlds they co-existed on the same plane. Humans however were oblivious to the vast world around them, they had no idea that demons roamed their streets, that they ate, slept and even talked with them. Even so, the rumors that demons were evil just didn't sit well with various factions of the demon community. No they weren't all evil, like the human race they had their bad apples and then they had those that were about the greater good for all.

Thanatos Inui was for the greater good... the greater good couldn't get much better than this as he sat in the back of lectar classes. The teacher who was blind as a bat was dronning on about something or another though it didn't make much of a different to Xan who had been preoccupied with a saucey number sitting in his lap. "And then what did he do?" He asked coyly as the girl was telling him a story about her latest date.

"He reached under my skirt and began rubbing my leg. I squealed in surprise and jumped up. It was very rude of him to do such a thing." she spoke quietly so no others could hear.

"You don't say? But what if I wanted to touch your thigh? Would it be improper of me to put my hand under your skirt too?" he asked though his hand had already found its way there. He knew this was a cat and mouse game, the girl had been vying for his attention for over a month now and he had finally managed to get himself cornered. Not that he cared but he really hated to hurt Obsidian with his latest escapade. Hopefully she wouldn't be too upset with him for not waking her up this morning it was like she had anything important to do...just some dumb project she'd been screaming about for the past week.

"Oh no you really shouldn't do that Xan..its unappropriate behavior while in class." The girl was cute he'd give her that but she had less than a quarters worth of knowledge in that noggin. All looks absolutely no brain. Go figure. Even so he loved to tease the girls in his class, usually taking them to the back of the lecture room where it was darkest and no one sat. There he would fondle them and on some occasions if the girl was really kinky he'd get one off on her, usually interrupting the class with her panting and moaning. Today he felt a little friskier then usual and had Sasha panting in his arms in no time...

That only got a cleared throat from the blind instructor who was looking at some kid who'd been snoring. Good for him bad for the kid. "You really should keep it down Sasha the teach might hear you."

She tried to but that was unsuccessful he smiled devilishly, at least he could gather a little of her lust energy for himself. Though it was nothing compaired to the power he got from his median. He smiled to himself wishing it were her sitting in his lap now panting for him to stop or was it to continue? "Please..." He smiled hearing the girl plead with him.

"Please what?"

"I uh...can't take it anymore stop this torture. Please."

He pouted. "Aw but i was having fun..." shrugging he smiled and simply gave her what she wanted as his diggits worked her to completion. He had to clamp his free hand over her mouth to keep her from screaming and getting them caught but as soon as she came down from her high he was there to steal her energy before sitting her in the chair and gathering his books and coat. The bell rang then announcing that the first class of the day was finally over. He smiled kissing Sasha on the cheek before heading out the door in search of that woman.

"She should be up by now..." he muttered to himself flinging silver tresses over his shoulder as he looked at his watch. He had thought to go back home and retrieve her but a familiar scent had caught his nose and he smirked lightly. "Bout time.." he said but didn't turn around to greet. "I was getting bored and you know its past breakfast time too.. I didn't eat properly before I left this morning thanks to you."

Obsidian had been beyond furious when she had finally woken. She had -told- Xan that it was imperative she get up this morning and she knew the fuzzball had not forgotten her request that he wake her before he went to his first class. She didn't care what favors he thought he was doing her, she could do without them sometimes. Spying his silver tresses as he left the building, she quickly packed up the paper she had been desperately trying to finish while waiting for him and ran to catch up to him to give him a piece of her mind. Glaring at his back, she slipped her bag onto her shoulder and flipped her long black hair over her shoulders. Opening her mouth to tell him exactly what she thought of him, she blinked as he spoke first without turning around. Frowning at his words, she crossed her arms over her chest and quickened her pace to attempt to fall into step with his long stride.

"Well you might have been able to get a decent meal if you had woken me up like I asked you to," she grumbled, glancing up at him with her midnight eyes. "I ask you to do one thing and you can't bloody do it..." she started then stopped mid-rant when she fully realized all that he had said to her. "Wait... what do you mean 'didn't eat properly'?" she demanded, turning her head to look fully up at him, eyeing him suspiciously.

A silver brow twitched as he looked down upon her wondering if she were kidding or not. How long had they been bonded together and she still didn't understand that he needed to feed or he wouldn't last long in this world? He sighed rubbing an agitated had over the bridge of his nose.

As they passed an alcove of lockers he slowly slide her into a row of them and out of sight. "My dear are you dense? I am hungry... demons need to feed just like you humans." He smirked lightly but didn't show any signs of letting her get loose and instead only closed the distance between them giving the illusion to those on the outside that they were lovers. He embraced her strongly as he spoke, "You do understand those times that we've kissed they weren't just on a whim or to show off I was honestly feeding off your lifeforce. Borrowing if you will some energy to sustain myself." He chuckled lightly remaining near though making no move. "So what's say you... can I feed? "

"That's not what I meant and you know that," she said frostily, holding onto her earlier irritation in an effort to ignore the pounding of her heart as he held her close. Eyeing him closely, a slight smirk graced her pink lips and she turned her head away at his request.

"No. I don't think I will," she said, glancing back up at him. "I'm sure there are more than enough girls here willing to give you what you need. You've already had a sample this morning, am I correct? Maybe next time you'll remember to do what I ask of you," she said, narrowing her eyes at him as she reached up to try to push herself out of his grasp.

He chuckled sheepishly scratching the back of his head as he looked away. "Ah that yes well... as I said. I hadn't eaten properly." He pouted slightly realizing the direction this conversaton was going. She planned to be difficult this morning it was plain to see.

"Obi..." he whimpered softly in her ear pushing against her firmly as he knew he had her pinned. "I can hear your heart beating in your chest." It was true with other demon abilities hearing was one of them. He placed his hand on her chest feeling it beat faster at his touch. "Let me eat you." he cooed again whispering ever so slightly and trying to keep from laughing at the cheesy innuendo he'd made.

Obie couldn't stop her eyes from closing as he pushed her back firmly against the lockers behind her and she swallowed hard to try to calm her now racing heart. Breathing in deeply as his hand found its way to her chest, she leaned her forehead against his broad shoulder. Too many times she found herself in these situations and each time she could feel her resolve to be strong against his subtle and not so subtle seductions begin to crumble. Smirking slightly at his repeated request, she took a few moments to attempt to calm herself down.

"Alright then," she agreed softly, lifting her head from his shoulder. "Though next time you don't do as I ask I won't be so easily suaded especially if you've already been out snacking," she murmured into his ear.

"As you wish m'lady." he purred softly brushing her bangs from her face he smiled. Envoloping her in his embrace he took his time enjoying his meal; afterall breakfast was the most important part of one's day.

Thinking about this only made him smile more as he closed the distance and kissed her softly at first but more hungirly as he realized he needed to regain his strength.

Students walked by some used to the to their transactions others fuming for they didn't seem to understand the relationship between the two but that didn't matter. Once he was doing feeding he kissed her for a moment longer out of habit before moving away. "Hm... is that cherry lipgloss you're wearing?" He asked licking his lips as he felt the energy flow through him.

Obie looked up into his eyes and enjoyed the soft caress he afforded her as he cleared her eyes of her dark hair. Smiling as she found herself once more in his arms, she slipped her own up over his shoulders and closed her eyes as his lips caressed hers softly. As the kiss grew with intensity when he realized his full hunger, she whimpered softly against his lips and could feel him drawing her life force into himself. When he was through, she leaned back against the lockers once more as she waited a moment to catch her breath and make sure that her legs would not give out on her unexpectedly if she were to attempt to use them. Smirking at his question, she ran a hand over her flushed cheek and breathed in deeply.

"Yes. I thought I would try something new," she smirked and pushed herself away from the locker to take a step back towards the main flow of student traffic, ignoring any glances that were cast her way. When they had first arrived, they had bothered her greatly, but as time had passed, she had grown indifferent to the peering eyes. It was her duty to ensure that Xan's health and strength were maintained and the thoughts of others were to go unnoticed by her when she did what she had to.

"Now it's your turn to feed me. I'm starving," she smirked as she glanced up at him with a hint of coyness in her blue eyes. Reaching for his hand, she led him out of their inconspicuous hiding place. "So what do you suggest?" she asked, looking up at him.

He let her lead him away and laughed as he answered her, "Meat...meat is always good and I have plenty right here." he said jostling his pants to fit more snuggly against his hips. He laughed uproarishly before shrugging and snagging her by the waist to place her on his shoulder.

"Hmm..food. Hamburgers and chocolate cake...always a favorite of mine. Lets go to the Burger Hut." He offered keeping her planted firmly on his shoulder. Being as lightly weight as she was and with his added strength it really wasn't all that hard to hold in such a fashion. "And to make up for this morning my treat." He offered with a wink.

Obie laughed and rolled her eyes at his crude gesture, though she found she had to force her eyes away from the rather appealing view she was awarded by it. Having glanced away, she was caught by surprise as he snagged her around the waist and tossed her up onto his shoulder.

"Oi!" she cried out, quickly grabbing a tight hold of his silver hair with one hand and his strong arm with the other as it held her tightly in place. Closing her eyes for a moment as he walked, she quickly forced herself to relax for fear of toppling over from his tall height.

"Fine! That's fine! Just put me down, please!" she begged, clinging onto him for dear life, wrapping one her legs around him to help her balance.

He chuckled glad to have her approval of their meal but he couldn't resist seeing her flustered face at being lifted so high off the ground. "Still afriad of heights... when will you be ride of such an annoying fear?" He questioned not really looking for an answer.

With her squirming as she was he figured it best to return her to solid ground least she throw a fit. Carefully he plucked her from his shoulder easing her back to the ground though keeping her close to him. "You're safe now." he whispered the whole time she had squeezed her eyes shut not liking the ride up nor down. He only laughed and continued to walk on their destination Burger Hut.

Obie glared down at him at his teasing, her heart racing now for a different reason. She could handle most anything, but heights terrified her beyond rational thought. A silly fear, she would agree with Xan about that, but one she couldn't help none the less.

"When you stop throwing me around like your ragdoll," she muttered in response to his rhetorical question. Whimpering softly and closing her eyes tightly as he started to remove her from his shoulder, she removed her hand from his hair and grasped tightly to his shirt as she slid down his body. At his whispered words, she let out a breath she hadn't realized she had been holding and opened her eyes to glance around.

"Thank you Xan," she said, willing her heart to calm its frantic beating. Surely being around him was not good for her health, she thought as she reached out to slip her arm through his in order to keep up with his long stride.

"What else do you have on your agenda for today?" Obie asked once they had arrived and gotten their meals. "Planning on stealing any more snacks?" she asked, looking down at her fries to hide the spark of jealousy that colored her eyes.

He watched her for a moment noting the jealousy that was perfumating from her spirit. She must really hate it when he did that but he had to sustain himself some kind of way. And when she wasn't around for a proper meal he didn't have time to negotiate her feelings over the matter. There would come a time where he knew he'd have to do something a little desperate just to protect her or himself. It may hurt and it just might break the trust they shared with one another but it was the way of the world.

Lust for life... it was his vice. The one thing he needed to survive in this world. Every demon had a vice and once they learned how to extract it from their masters the bonds became stronger. He only wondered how much longer he'd have to go on meager kisses and fluttering hearts? He could sense the desire under the surface but his master was too ... conservative even for her. He sighed...

"I only snack when I'm low on energy. These days kisses aren't enough I drain out faster and need more energy to keep going throughout the day..." he smirked lightly nibbling on a fry. "Maybe if my master would stop holding out on me..." he offered though left his sentence open for her to decide. It was not hard to understand. Their union on THAT level was souly up to her he could not force it nor initiate it. And the fact that if she wasn't 100% sure of herself there could be dire consequence.

Watching her he smiled softly. "I won't take any more snacks. Just keep me going and I'll stay loyal only to you, my jewel."

Obie couldn't stop the blush that washed over her pale cheeks. It was ridiculous. Nineteen and in college and such intimacies still flustered her, though she suspected it was her lack of experience in such simple things as dating that caused her to be so self conscious whenever he spoke of taking things further. She had never had much luck where guys were concerned, even less so once Xan had turned up.

"Well maybe if you would wake me up when I ask you to, you wouldn't need to go in search of a little snack before breakfast, right?" she asked, looking up at him and arching a dark brow with a smirk. "Besides, who's to say that anything more than a kiss would give you any more energy," she smirked, watching him. "I'm assuming that's a theory you've already tested?"

Thanatos took another fry nibbling on it. Human food was tastey but not a preference where he was concerned. The mention of waking her to get his morning meals hadn't been missed though he just let her speak rather than say anything.

Nodding his head as if listening he then flashed a cool gaze toward her mint eyes sparkling with mischief. Leaning closer he finished off the fry. Purring into her ears as he spoke, "You want to test that theory then?" he questioned knowing that challenging her was merely a tease. He was limited in his abilities to do anything other than that. She had to be willing and the sooner she lusted over him the better...maybe then he'd get his full powers.

The only downfall of such a wonderful bonding was that their spiritual bond would be broken and he'd be allowed to return home. Thinking of it sent a shiver up his spin. Such was the double edge sword of lust and desire. You couldn't have it all.

Obie smirked at the familiar spark of mischief that colored his gorgeous eyes and watched him as he leaned in close. Laughing softly at his tease, she nibbled on her fry and glanced off across the cheesy fast food restaurant. Smirking to herself, she turned her blue eyes to meet his and arched her brow.

"Alright then. Let's do it," she smirked, watching him to see if he would take her seriously or not. She had to admit, the thought had crossed her mind on more than one occasion. If his kisses were any indication, she didn't think she would be disappointed. But there had to be more than that... right? she thought as she finished her fry and waited for his reaction.

He watched her for a moment but then shook his head. Kissing her softly on the forehead he rested in his seat snagging a fry. "You are not ready my dear." In all truth he could sense this. The scent from her was fresh and did not warrant such an advance in her character.

Chuckling he glanced out the window looking at all the people walking by. "But do not worry when the time comes I will be here." Until then he'd have to settle for "snacks" until the main dish was cooked just right.

Obie smirked and rolled her eyes as he declared her not ready and leaned back in her seat.
"Who says I'd ever allow you such a thing in the first place?" she mused with a teasing smirk. Holding her hand out lazily over the scattered fries, she smirked to herself as she watched them start to dance around on her burger wrapper. Glancing up across the restaurant, her eyes caught on the clock by the counter and she sat up quickly.

"Shit," she muttered, crumpling all of her uneaten food up into the wrapper and rising from her seat. "I've got to go. I'm going to be late for class. I'll see you later tonight," she smiled and leaned in to press a soft kiss to his cheek. Slipping her bag onto her shoulder, she quickly turned and tossed her trash away and hurried out of the restaurant without waiting to see if he would bother to try to catch up or not.

He placed a hand to his cheek where she had kissed him always treasuring the simple things. He smiled watching her take off and keeping his eyes trained on her until she was out of sight. Only then did he rise from his seat to pay the bill then head out into the day.

He really had no reason to go to school other than remain close to Obisdian but outside of that he did it to sustain his energy and for the fact it was just plain fun.

Now it was time for work. Living on this world wasn't all play, he had his duties as a demon spirit. And it dealt with sniffing out those rotten apples that would dare to harm his master. His destination had brought him to the local park where he stood quietly toying with a toothpick in his mouth. "You can come out now, you've been following us for far too long. State your business." He demanded. Either it was a spirit looking for assistance or one looking for trouble. Either way he could not allow any harm to come to his master.

He had been watching them for a while, as they made kissy face at each other and the demon teased the girl a bit, probably to get some kind of reaction out of her. He didn't much care for the way that they were acting, but it didn't much matter, since with all of the time that Xan had spent with his master so recently, doing battle with him probably wouldn't be nearly as advantageous as it would have been a few hours later. Now that he had been called out though, things were probably going to start rolling in motion far faster than he was going to be able to stop them. If things progressed too far...well, he was just going to have to deal with that.

Clyde smiled softly as he watched Xan for a few moments and then slowly stepped out of hiding. The demon was wearing standard clothing like you might have expected to see any other person on the street wearing. He had a thin black jacket on, probably more for style than for looks, a white dress shirt, with the top 3 or 4 buttons undone, and a pair of black jeans which matched both the jacket, and his black running shoes. He chuckled softly before speaking in a calm and controlled voice, "There is no reason to be so defensive. I was just watching as your master took you for a walk." His chuckles continued as his mind produced the image of Obsidian dragging Xan around on the end of a leash. He smiled and spoke again, "It seems to me that you are the one who has been stealing the attention of the girls at the school." He had slipped his hand into his pocket, more to preserve the laid back and bored look than for anything else. He watched the demon for a few more moments his lips still holding a faint smile, knowing that the fact he had dodged the question of his business would probably agitate Xan. It seemed only fair in Clyde's mind that the man who agitated him so much by stealing away all of the attention of every female around him, get a little bit agitated by him.

Ryusuke sat, silently watching the girl eat. She was cute enough he supposed, but it was too bad that she decided to be a hero... like her companion Xan. His eyes followed Obsidian down the street as she left him, poor girl. She'd be all alone soon enough if Clyde had his way.

Hands in his pockets, Ryusuke smiled as Xan confronted Clyde. This was way to easy, all they had too do was isolate the demon from his source of power, and then tire him out draining all his energy bit by bit, while he continued to reinforce Clyde. Without the girl around to recharge him Xan'd be helpless soon enough... unless they had severely underestimated him of course.

The Only real questions were would Clyde decided now was the time to attack? and if so Xan stand and fight? Or retreat and live to die another day? Ryusuke had to laugh, it would make for quite a TV show this life of his.

"Play us a song!" Ryusuke turned, a girl about his age was demanding he play a song. Looking down he realized he had been tuning his guitar without thinking about it. "C'mon play something!"

"Alright... what do you want to hear?"

"Hmmm, Nirvana!"

"Load up on guns and bring your friends, It's fun to lose and to pretend
She's over bored and self assured Oh no, I know a dirty word..." Ryusuke started to play, singing loud enough for most people around him to hear "Here we are now, entertain us I feel stupid and contagious Here we are now, entertain us"

His fingers danced across the frets, playing with gusto. It Nirvana's: Smells like Teen Spirit sounded odd without the drums but the girl with the request seemed pleased enough. Ryusuke jumped up onto the bench he had been sitting on, playing and singing louder.

"Here we are now, entertain us! I feel stupid and contagious! Here we are now, entertain us!" It was a fairly long song, and he wasn't about to rush through one of his favorites. Looking over to Clyde and Xan he knew his partner could hear him.

He was collecting a small crowd now, people were cheering as he reached the climax of the song. He could feel their excitment it radiated off of them in waves, and through him, all that energy was being channeled into Clyde. The song ended and Clyde and Xan were still talking.

"Do I have any other requests?" He asked the small crowd of 15 or so people.

So it was Clyde, figured as much that guy had a way of sneaking around in the dark. At his barb, Xan didn't bite but he could picture the idea of Obsidian dragging him around on a lesh. "You know that image is oddly kinky. I'll have to speak with Obisidan about getting me a lesh." He mulled this over in his mind seeming to ignore Clyde who seemed agitated by his presence.

Such was the curse of his fated existence. "Did you come all this way to tell me that?" He asked noting that Clyde was not going to answer his previous question. It did irritate him quite a bit, more so cause it was Clyde being the one before him. Only at the sudden twitching of his ears did he hear the songs being played in the distance. "Ryusuke?" That voice was unmistakeable and the sounds of people cheering him on didn't sit well with Xan at all. "Nevermind then I think I can guess what you are up to if Ryusuke is nearby." This sucked his source of energy had returned to school and without her he was pretty much powerless. Thankfully he'd recharged his battery earlier and the fact that whenever his master was around she always gave off a spark of lust that he could feed off of constantly. Now that she was gone that constant stream was broken and he was slowly using up his energy.

"Feh.. what do you want already? If you didn't come to fight then get out of my way. I got business..you know so many girls only one me...can't have them waiting." Well if he was going to be interrupted form his fun then he might as well make the best of this visit. Clyde had a thing about the girls always hanging over Xan, whatever that was about he didn't know but he loved to tease the other demon spirit nonetheless. "You know there's plenty of me to go around. I can share them with you..." Straight or not, Xan took lust from any and all living creatures that were willing and able. It helped to keep him energized when his master was unavailable. The only downfall was its temporary factor.

Clyde smiled softly as he heard Ryusuke begin to play his song. It was one of the longer ones. It seemed that the guitarist was giving the dog boy more credit than he deserved. If they were going to do battle while Xan's partner was out of reach Clyde was sure he would be able to beat the dog down like a stray before the end of the song. Without Obsidian near by, Xan wouldn't be able to battle for very long before he got tired and was forced to retreat, but in the end, that would be the final solution of their battle if they had it right now. He would lay a beat down on Xan for a while and then the dog demon would run away when he couldn't fight anymore, so that he could charge up again.

The blond boy narrowed his eyes when Xan started to talk about how he had to go off because he couldn't keep all of the girls waiting, like it was his duty to be a gigolo or something. It seemed that Xan knew exactly what buttons to push, and didn't pull any punches in how hard he pushed them. Clyde's playful smirk and turned to a slight frown as soon as Xan had mentioned how he had all of those girls to get back to, and his eyes had narrowed further in anger when the dog boy offered to share. He was not going to degrade himself by taking the scraps and hand-me-downs of a dog like Xan.

He took a deep breath to calm himself before lashing out, after all, he didn't know exactly how much power Xan had managed to store up. If things broke down into a battle, it could still go either way, even with the fact that Clyde could still leach energy off of Ryusuke. He closed his eyes and his playful smirk returned, "Your crude attempts at humor may impress your average schoolgirl, Xan, but I'm afraid it just isn't enough to get a reaction out of me." He opened his eyes, immediately focusing on the dog demon, "You don't need to worry about your medium not being here, and you being completely helpless in a battle either. I'm not here to fight. If I really wanted to be rid of you, it would be easy enough, after all, everyone has a weakness." He pulled his hand out of his pocket and held it up well he shrugged, a bored expression coming to his face, "Why would I bother though? You'll eventually die trying to be a hero. There isn't much point in wasting energy when this path you have chosen is going to be your undoing." He brought his hand back down slipping it into the jacket pocket again.

He slowly looked around for a moment or two as if to make sure that no one else was around, "In any case, don't let this little encounter go to your head Xan. It wasn't you that I was following anyway." He turned his eyes back to Xan, smirking softly, "I had a thought, and was going to make an investigation on it, that's all. I'd enlighten you on it, but I'm not sure that a mutt like you could really understand." He chuckled, "Don't stress yourself over it though, Xan. I wasn't planning on killing any of your precious humans." He smiled as he watched Xan carefully, "Not today anyway." He yawned softly, "I was thinking about roughing you up a bit, but like you, I have some business that I should be attending to as well." His crimson eyes continued to follow the dog demon, his body ready to move in the event that he had to, "Unless you've grown tired of rushing off to fight evil and be a hero on your lunch break, and instead wanted to battle with me right here." He smirked. He was quite sure he knew which choice Xan would make, and then he wouldn't have to worry about the dog demon for a while.

He had mulled the thought of a fight over in his mind. To do battle with Clyde during his lunch break it seemed all too easy. While he didn't have his medium around to leach energy from he still had ways of keeping the pace. After all living beings demon or human lusted over something. Xan just prefered the sexual lust it was like eating his favorite chocolate cake, German Chocolate. No he could feed of the lust of any form given to him, lust of money, lust for food, lust for vengence and even the lust for battle. It was just sexual lust that was his top priority for his medium seemed to have quite an abundance of it.

However the fact that Clyde had been follow them to begin with got a sharp bark from Xan. "I don't care what you're game is don't even think about messing with her. Or anyone else for that matter." He stood to his full height having croched in warning previously. Tossing silver tresses over his shoulder he turned his back on the other ignoring the music from Clyde's medium. "You seem to think I'm playing the hero when its nothing like that Clyde. We're demon spirits you and I, nothing will take away that fact but unlike you I haven't clouded my mind with simple minded ideas of good versus evil. This world has some strong points and some weak ones. I prefer to enjoy my time here while I can..." He paused smiling as a few school girls had wandered past. It seemed they knew him but with as many as he'd gone through in his short time being here he couldn't pin point their names. Instead he winked at them the and smiled as they squealed and scooted off.

"Once I've regain all my strength from that girl things will be different you can bet on it." He smirked. It was true he liked it here on Earth but wanted to go home as well. At least there he didn't have to mooch off some human for energy. "Besides who said anything about being a hero. I just prefer to keep the peace. It sucks when you're in the middle of something exciting and some idiot of a demon spirit wants to destory the world or take his revenge out on the cost of taking people's lives." He shrugged. If he honestly didn't have to get involved he probably wouldn't but without his intervention the city would have fallen long ago and then where would he be? No pretty girls to play with and no parks to run around in, no chocolate cakes, and definately no pissing off Clyde. Nope it was better to hold the torch of justice then let guys like Clyde run around..always brooding over something they didn't like.

"Geez... you'd think you would open your eyes and make the best of this place. Really Clyde, you need to relax more go get laid or something..." Holding a hand over his mouth as he held back a laugh he looked away sheepishly. "Oh right... there's some dog of a gigolo running around stealing all the bitches away. Hmm? Seeing as how I'm labeled a hero-type I better get on that right away." He turned to start leaving deciding Clyde was lame and his lunch break had been ruined regardless of the outcome. "Tell ya what after you get laid if you still got that stick up your ass ...come see me. I'll help ya pull it out and put something more profound in there. Oh wait.. you don't go that way. Too bad ... you're quite a catch." He knew talking along those lines were pushing it at times but it didn't matter to Xan. A whole was a whole as long as no one was sticking something up his. "See ya." He called and sauntered off going in the direction that Ryusuke was playing his music.

Clyde smirked softly when Xan barked at him so suddenly, his anger evident in his voice. Suddenly nothing else that the dog demon did bothered him nearly as much, since he had finally managed to get the usually calm dog demon to bark. He then raised an eyebrow as the dog started talking about points of good and evil and went as far as to suggest that Clyde was the one who had come up with these ideas for where good ended and evil began. He chuckled softly to himself, already of the belief that silly concepts like good and evil were merely jokes. His complaint wasn't even with the fact that he thought that he was on a different side than Xan. His complaint was that the dog demon talked like he was so strong, but in the end loved these fragile humans all far too much.

He chuckled almost silently to himself when the dog demon spoke about how things would be different once he had gotten all of his energy back. He was being foolish. Things would be no different once he got all of his energy back. He liked being the center of attention, he liked pretending that he was the one who was supporting the weight of the entire world on his shoulders, and that without him there the whole thing would plunge into chaos and darkness. He could say whatever it was that he wanted, but in the end Clyde could see through the little lies that Xan was telling himself about how he would be different when he was stronger. How would he be different? Was he planning on not being a complete player? There was a fat chance of that, considering that everyone could see how much the dog demon loved being the center of attention. Was he planning on not being a hero? He loved all of these humans and the attention they lavished upon him far too much to give up that. Maybe he was planning on going home? He raised an eyebrow and filed away that thought along with the words that Xan had said.

His frown returned as Xan slipped back into being as annoying as he had always been, with his agitating comments about how he was getting all of the attention from the girls, while Clyde was getting nothing. He narrowed his eyes as Xan started making his homosexual comments, but said nothing. He then took another deep breath to calm his nerves and started walking in the same direction as Xan. That part was probably the most irritating part in all of this. Xan had known exactly where it was that Clyde was going to be going, and then he had pretended like he didn't know. Knowing Xan, he was probably going to play around with any of the girls who Ryusuke had warmed up for the dog. He clenched his teeth, disliking the fact that he was being ignored even more than any of the comments that Xan had made previously. It was like Xan didn't even register him as a threat when they were out here where a battle could easily take place, and away from his precious 'master' and as a result fairly weakened. He took another deep breath to calm his nerves. There was no point in getting all worked up about this, after all, that was just what Xan wanted. He seemed to get some sadistic pleasure out of all of this.

Clyde continued walking his face had now returned to a neutral expression. He spoke softly, "I wonder if you'd still be acting so cool if I had beaten you to death in the park just now while you were separated from your medium and I was close enough to mine to continue to sap power from him throughout the entire battle." His self assured smirk returned to his lips, "I'm thinking no." He looked up now able to see Ryusuke playing his guitar, "Maybe I'll investigate that theory too some day." He then raised his hand to Ryusuke, "Oi! Don't you have class?" He smiled as he turned away from Xan, knowing full well that now that he had brought Ryusuke's attention to the fact that Xan was there he was going to be making his escape relatively quickly. He looked back to the girls who had gathered around his guitar playing medium and chuckled softly, "Enjoy your 'snacks' Xan." Quite sure that Xan wasn't one to not sit around in the middle of a group of girls who had already been warmed up by someone's guitar playing whenever the opportunity arose, Clyde was reasonably sure that Xan would stop following him, which meant that he didn't have to worry so much about a dog sniffing into his business. He smiled softly and started to walk back to the college.
