In today’s world of computers and cell phones, few people have time for superstition and ghost stories—but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t real!

Obsidian Sasaki is a powerful medium from a remote village in rural Japan. Her guardian is Thanatos Inui, a demon dog whose powers are literally fueled by her kiss! Together they protect humans from vengeful spirits and bring peace to the dead.

But when Obsidian's family moves to the big city of Tokyo, all the magical power in the world can’t help her survive college! Her chilly demeanor and lack of social graces make her a campus misfit. Popularity comes much easier to Thanatos, whose sexy good looks (in his human form) bring him lots of female fans. But Xan's lapdog loyalty to Obsidian only leads to more woe, as jealous classmates can’t understand what he sees in her. If only they knew…

We need a wonderful cast of players here. Love interests for both characters, ghosts, demons and much more. Obsidian isn't the only one with a demon protector and others are more than welcome to team up with some in this game. I will however only allow perhaps two more demon/master pairs. After that everyone else must remain humans and simply react to the strange supernatural occurances going on around town. And lets not forget our antagonists to which we'll definately need a few baddies or two, I'm looking along the lines of a demon and his/her master with hateful intent upon Xan, Obsidian and the general public.

p e r s o n a l i t y: Possessive, smart mouthed though polite in doing so he' can come off rather straight forward. He has no qualms in stating the obvious and is a bit clueless at times but not without reason. His sexuality has a lot to be desired as he loves to tease the fairer of sex but is devoted ever so loyaly to his "master".
b a c k g r o u n d: Trapped in this world, Xan hasn't had much time to dwell on the negative as he's taken quite a liking to the positive aspects of living in the human world. Though he misses his homeworld he is ever devoted to defeating the evils of this world while stealing a kiss or two or three from his lovely master who is quite naive in that she allows such interactions in order for him to aquire his full strength and powers to fight off the evil of the day. She can be quite overbearing but he wouldn't have it any other way aside from the fact that she likes to treat him a little too much like a dog.
f e a t u r e s: Xan is able to change from a Siberian Husky (puppy) to that of his human form. If he is weakened during battle he will automatically revert to his smaller form to conserve his energy. When in a rage or having absored an extreme amount of energy he can turn into his full demon dog form.
p o w e r s: Ice Fire; able to freeze his enemies then send them up in flames this ability has helped him out of many a tight spots.
m e d i u m: Obsidian Sasaki; through intimate affairs he is able to draw off her lust for him in order to sustain his lifeforce in this world. Upon intercourse he would regain his full abilities as a demon.

Overall Appearance// Obie is slender and willowy with what most would say is the perfect hourglass figure. she moves with utmost grace and aloofness. having spent her life at private schools, she is well stocked with pleated skirts and blouses. when she dresses down, she goes for simple jeans and tops. she has pale skin and a small birthmark high on her right cheek just under the far corner of her eye. her hair is long and black, falling with curled ends in the middle of her back. her bangs are just now getting long enough to tuck behind her ears and she usually either lets it flow free or braids it back. her eyes are such a dark blue they almost appear black and are fringed with thick, black lashes.
Personality// ice cold would be the first words that would pop into people's minds when asked about Obie. she doesn't warm up to people easily and it takes some effort to break through her barriers, but if you are so lucky, she's a very bright, intelligent, caring girl with a rather dry sense of humor
History// Obsidian has been trained since she was a child in the ways of the spirits. Upon her first sucessful spell she was given Inui as a present for her birthday to which the two bonded and began a life long struggle to keep the peace among spirits and the living. Now having to move to Tokyo to attend college, Obisidian isn't very happy with her new surroundings and relies on Xan to keep her head together though he's caused more trouble then he's worth.

Powers// aside from a few glamour tricks she's learned for her own amusement (conjuring little things or perhaps changing her appearance for small amounts of time), she can call upon shadow spirits to help aide Xan during attacks
Demon// Thanatos Inui; Obie loves Xan dearly and treasures the emotional strength she draws from him. without him, she'd be quite the wallflower

NAME: Cyriacus Ryutan

Nick: Cyrus

Age: Ancient

Personality: Vain and clever, he rarely finds himself truly happy, and even more rarely finds a reason that this world is worth his time. He tends to be a bit of a complainer when being told to do something that he really doesn't want to. It usually takes quite a bit to get him angry, but that changes sometimes depending on the people he is around.

Bio: After being pulled into this world and trapped here, Cyrus attempted to adapt to find positive things. In the end he found little but misery and pain all around him, and as a result he became jaded and decided to make his own joy in this world that he had been trapped in. He isn’t above causing chaos and destruction for a laugh if it comes to that, and has a great disdain for what he calls would be heroes, believing that they have written their own self-fulfilling prophecy by deciding to go against the odds and fight against all of the evil in this world. He believes in fate and destiny and uses both of them to justify his actions. He follows the orders of his “master” begrudgingly, but is relatively loyal as long as what he is being told to do is something that he thinks is fun, otherwise he can be a bit of a complainer. He tends to recharge his energy reserves by consuming the spiritual energy of average, every day humans, and feels no real guilt over this.
Because of his distaste for those who try to play the role of hero he dislikes Obsidian and Xan very much and finds himself easily agitated around them. He personally believes that since spirits are more powerful they should be the dominant ones, and doesn't understand why Xan is so loyal to his master. Clyde makes jokes about how love between a spirit and its "master", or any human for that matter, can only hold a spirit back, but it remains unclear if he truly believes this, or if perhaps under all of that armor and hidden behind that arrogant attitude he has fallen for a human himself.

Powers: He can switch between civilian mode (standard human appearance) and combat mode (armor) at will. He can also summon a sword made out of spiritual energy to do battle with. He has keen eyesight and moves very fast, even with that heavy looking armour on.

Ah I was just going to PM you about this. Nice character he seems agitatingly useful. Now either you can find an actual person to play your master or you can NPC your master to your liking until someone comes along its up to you really... and feel free to post when you are able.

Hopefully I will find someone or someone will find me, if not I'll think of some way around it, either your idea of NPCing my "master" until someone shows up to fill the position, or something, I don't know.

EDIT:
I now have a question.
It seems that Xan feeds off of Obi's sexual energy.
Would this be standard for all of the demon/master pairs?
I ask so I can find out if gender is an issue in my partner selection process.

Xan feeds off the lust and desires of humans, for each spirit its different or similar. So you can use whatever is most suitable to your character to feed from. Like fear, loathing, happiness... its all open game.

So if fear is your character's thing then perhaps he feeds off the fear of his master. And would probably create some excitement to get that fear out of them..or hatred if it makes things interesting. So its a lot of creative pull in how you look at it. But no matter what they have to feed off their master to get fully rejuvenated. Feeding off of others is like a snack it won't do much but keep them going until they get a full course meal.

So in other words, having a straight male demon with a male master really wouldn't be a problem as long as the demon was feeding off of an emotion that wasn't lust.

Nope it would only be a problem if they are both straight and he is feeding off of lust like Xan. Issue city there...

So yes you can have a male master just choose your base meal plan wisely or the whole being straight thing will be awkward.

Well...I suppose in a situation like that, the demon could hire hookers for their master and just sit around outside to feed on the lust...but yes, that would raise quite an issue.

Name: Ryusuke Minami

Ryusuke is fairly tall and on the thin side, his long dark hair is meticulously combed and cleaned, but his dark eyes are cold and emotionless.

Personality: Ryusuke is a calm laid back, guitar player with a cruel streak and a way with women. His Musical talent and charming smile earn him alot of fans and a fair amout of respect while his rebellious nature and acid wit have earned him a reputation as a trouble maker.

As a musician he loves all kinds of music from the Beatles to Led Zepplin to Linkin Park, he has a very diverse taste. He plays a Showmaster QMT HH.

Under his calm, laid back exterior, Ryusuke is an adrenaline junkie, he gets a huge rush out of playing for people, crowds, cheering, and loud music allow him to empower Clyde not only with his own energy but that of anyone watching his as well.

He gets by playing at local bars and chatting up rich lonely older women at high end night clubs, his demonic counterpart leaves him fearless, and so his confidence never falters as he talks people into things.

Motivation: Ryusuke feels obligated to assist his partner in any way possible, and dislikes heroic people as much as Ryutan does. He has little patience for Heroes as his definition of one is: A Person who gets other's killed.

Medium: As a medium, Ryusuke has a fair amout of talent, and it's amplified when he's playing his guitar. He connects strongly with the spirits of the world through his music and his emotions are all projected through his playing. When he and Ryutan are battling as opponent he will often sing or play an acoustic to empower his partner further.

The way I see it, Clyde (or Ryutan as everyone is calling him) should probably feed off of the Adrenaline rush of his master who gets hyped up while playing. That would allow him to drain energy from people he could get excited or nervous. That would fit in, right? A demon who feeds off of excitement?
