Talk to me without puter terminology please:
Let me first introduce myself. I am a very UNEDUCATED,...illiterate person,
when it comes to computer technology, terminology, web surfing, use of
programs and/or related features. I have read ALL the instructions Lit has
posted for what I wish to do,...received many instructions from kind and
caring friends,...all to no avail. Somewhere,...they skip a step,...or I miss
a step,
and SOMEHOW,...have never been able to accomplish what I want to do.

Please treat me like a six year old,(though in reality I am 58), and give me
explicit directions on how to post an overly large photo in the text box of
a Lit THREAD.

Step 1~Turn on computer(got that)

Step 2~Get online through AOL(got that)

Step 3~Go to Literotica.com(got that)

Step 4~Go to thread where I want to post(got that)

Step 5~Scroll down to the bottom of THAT page, and Left click on small
rectangular tab that says "Post Reply" at bottom R.H. corner.(Ok, got
that)

Step 6~...?
EDITED TO ADD: What I want to do is take it OFF my computer, where it is stored in a DOCUMENT file,...and post it in a thread as a PICTURE,... not a link,...or a web addy. Thanks all!

I don't want it resized,...want it large,...I see many people do THIS,...but they take the pic from a web address, and they are not able to tell me how to do it off my computer.

I got that,see above.

You have to have it on the web to link it.

When it is on the web,click the img button above the post box.

Put in the url of the PICTURE not the page that it is on.

That is how it shows up.

If you dont know how to get the url of the pic,right click on the picture and the url will show up.

The easiest way to do it is to upload it to a post,get the url for it and link it that way.

Click on the one that has IMG on it. A box will pop up.

Right click your mouse again and PASTE the url (The web address. ) (You know it starts out as http:...)

Click okay.

You will see the img tags around your address.

Then just submit your post.

Okay now thats different. Go to your sig box and put this in.

In your sig box,you have to use the appropriate < > brackets.

Artful, The simple answer is that you cannot get a picture on your hard drive to automatically display in the body of the post; at least not here at Lit. The attachment function is set to show a link instead of the image because showing every attachment every time a page is displayed slows the BB down.

Steps to show an image with the IMG tags:

Get the image to a place on the web that is accessible to the BB software all the time. That means post it to a personal web page, or have someone post for you.

Record the address of the image by right clicking the image, selecting properties from the context menu and copying the text next to "Address: (URL)." (URL= Universal Resource Location)

in your post, type IMG inside square brackets [], type the address recorded above -- if it doesn't end in .BMP, .JPG, or .GIF, it's probably the wrong address and the IMG tags won't work -- Type [/IMG].
