I need to open a wps file.

Anyone know how?

I used wordpad, but it's all in code, and I've already had the file sent to me twice

I'm editing someone's story and don't want to leave them waiting any longer.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks .xoxooxx

I think WPS is the file extension used by older versions of WordPerfect.

My PC crashed yesterday, and I'm using my sister's.

She's running Windows 98. I have no idea what I have on this to open the file.

Anyone?

What about suggesting that they send you their story in a word processing format that you actually use --- even if it is only Ascii Text

here ya go

you need to download" works 2000 converter for word"

its free from microsoft.com.......on there downloads page.

this is assuming you have word on that computer.

hope it helps!!!!!!!!!!!!........

kisses !

WPS is almost surely WordPerfect. I use that. Send it by if you like. Maybe I can convert it for you. I'll PM you the e-mail address.

Dor,

Open a the document in word, go to 'help' on word, then search for conversion. When you have that list scroll down until you find 'convert between word and word perfect'. That might help.

If you are happy to, mail the document to me, and I'll see what I can do. I've several times had to convert from wps.

Alex, you're good. I was looking through and wps isn't on the list for WP.

Oh...Mousey....I had that once...I knew what it was too and now for the life of me I can't remember. I do know that I couldn't open for shit.

I cannot remember if it has to do with WordPerfect or Microsoft Works...I will let you know once I remember.

DM,

I have Microsoft Works on my machine. If you havent gotten someone to read it yet for you, PM me and I'll convert it for you. Works defaults to .wps when saving but allows you to save it in several otherformats including word (only 6.0, but it's readable by almost anything).
