Renza, I think the itchiness is from your stomach beginning to stretch (yeah, I know). Moodiness to varying degrees is from hormonal changes. Sickness (nausea, etc.) generally is only in the first trimester.

There are many good books explaining the stages of pregnancy, I recommend getting one, just so you're informed. Probably there are websites too.

I feel for you, hon. Be sure Dest. gets educated too.

best, Perdita

The leg cramping is awful, huh? I woke up to awful charley horses in my calves at least three times a week.

Itchiness comes and goes. Didn't bother me that much but lotion helps most times.

Bitchiness didn't hit me that hard (I don't think) but like Dita said, is just part of it for some.

Profuse potty urges....get used to it.

Books:

What to expect when you're expecting. (pretty good)

Baby Wise (Must have, if you ever want to get the kid on a schedule and resume any semblance of normalcy. Absolutely wonderful book.)

Website:

Baby Center

Congrats, hon. I'm really happy for you. And some days the only way to get through it is like the little engine that could, "I think I can! I think I can! I think I can!"

It is, after all, only temporary.

~lucky

I have had seven children and I had none of the symptoms you describe.

Before you all jump on me, I was kindness itself; I used two separate wives, one had four and the other had three.

Renza,
Get yourself a bottle of aloe vera lotion, 100% aloe. They use this in radiation treatments for cancer. Rub it on every time you think of it and you will be surprised. It is your tummy stretching so start soon to soften it up.

Leg cramping has something to do with salt intake I was told, not sure if its too much or not enough. Warm baths before bed help.

Bitchiness? Whats that, women dont bitch, they just get their point across over and over and over again until someone listens! lol That will ease off come the second trimester.

Take it easy on yourself,
Cealy

Can't give any advice, but I will volunteer to massage where it cramps and scratch where it itches :)

*HUGS*

You're going to learn a lot about having babies that they never told you. A lot.

I'm not saying that there's a conspiracy by would-be grandparents to keep things secret, but no matter how much you think you know, you're still going to learn a lot.

Yep, like all about their first bowel movement. Black tar, if my memory serves me right.

Renza, go for the aloe cream for your tummy, it really does help.

Lou :rose:

Just a little thing to try for the nausea.. keep some mild crackers, like saltines, by your bed and eat one or two very slowly when you first wake up (without sitting up)... it sounds weird, and I don't know this from personal experience.. but I want to have kids and I read up on it a lot. I heard a lot of women I know agree this tends to fend it off because the nausea can be because your stomach is empty combined with moving too quickly.

Maybe I'm crazy... but it may work.

Besides the crackers, all I have is a HUG :)

Renza, it's a beautiful AV, you look regal and serene (looks count for something, eh? :) ).

Perdita :rose:

aww thanks :D I'm enjoying your av for other reasons but enjoying it nonetheless

Cramp in your legs can sometimes be caused by lack of vitamin B.

Did somebody warn the Mrs. that you could become very horny, once the nausea wears off?

You look beautiful.

:rose:

Ren, you're beautiful...I know it's genetics and instinct and all that but I find a pregnant woman to be just gorgeous and I fall victim(?) to all the urges to protect and keep safe and warm, etc.

Not to say that those protect and serve impulses have anything to do with gender, but at least this male knew he couldn't help in one way and thus was determined to be useful in others.

P.S. Destinie, watch out for the "Damn it, if I'm at the taco shop at 3 am I'm getting a burrito too!" bug. I never have lost all the "sympathy" weight gain from our two kids.

This is something they dont tell you in the books,

Usually they say YOU cant leave until you have a bowel movement, well guess what, you arent going to show them now are you so LIE!! Everyone is much more comfortable at home using their own bathroom, and there isnt as much stress to preform for the nurses. Just tell them you went and smile sweetly! lol

What other weird and wonderful things can I think of????
Two kids no stitches, I did well! lol
Cealy
ps, your AV is beautiful and I too think women with child are the most beautiful thing on earth!

Wow, lady, you look so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. Suddenly feeling a bit sorry for the wife....I'd be a nervous wreck with need, with you looking so very sexy.....maybe it's not sorry I feel, but envy.

~lucky

Beautiful is such a pale word to describe how you look Mrs. J, but I have no better one.
