Help!

Okay, it says I can post here if I need help with a new story-I do!

I would like to do an illustrated story(photos). I thought I read somewhere you could email the photos in. I do all of this the old-fashioned way so I don't know anything about Word, etc. I type in email and transfer over, but I don't know how to get photos in the story. Can anybody help me on this?

First, you will have to find someone with a scanner to scan your Daguerreotypes. Then, perhaps indicate in the MS where each scanned photo is to go.

Hey, great thanks-thought I read something like this once before. I know I should be really embarrassed, but I'm not. I guess there must be another section of FAQs-the one I looked at didn't have this info. Photos are scanned but probably too big and the best news of all is, in real life, I have MS(not making light of the condition by the way so don't send me email about it-I really do have it and I'm okay with it). Again, appreciate the time and effort

That was your first mistake.

I've done it several times. I assume you have your picture as a .gif file or something similar. When you submit the story, make a note in the 'notes' that you're EMailing a pic file to be included with the story. Do so.

When I've done this, the .gif always appeared with my story as if by magic.

My first mistake, now I can go & I don't know, jpg or something I guess and I'll do that with the notes thing-I love when things magically appear and I assume if put in the main story something like "Insert jpg. 9000" or whatever, that part would be deleted by the site. Wouldn't look great if that was left in and probably even sillier if the pics didn't magically appear. I'll go off now and look at some of the ones you did. Just have to learn how to shrink 'em now-thanks to both of you!
