I hope this is the right place to post this.

I can't speak much French but there is a guy I'm interested in who speaks fluent French and he told me that he loved it when people 'sweet talked' him in French.

So I'm looking for people who can speak French to give me some phrases in French.

A range of pretty innocent, general flirty stuff, compliments I could give him and stuff like that would be really really great.
Also some more sexual stuff would be great. :)
I'm sure you get the idea.

Thanks in advance.

Voulez vous un croque monseiur?

Would you like a croque monseiur?

do you have any spinach?

I am going to leave the house at eight o'clock.

I'm afraid I can't be of much help but I would be interested in what people come up with here :D Maybe it will help if you start with a few phrases that you would like to see translated or want to know what the common alternatives are in French (because some things simply cannot be translated one-on-one because it would sound silly or people just don't 'talk' that way, so culture also has something to do with it).

I used to date a Frenchman a looooong time ago. I wish my English (and his, for that matter) had not been that good at the time, so I would have picked up a lot more French than I did from that relationship ;) ..... we talked 95% in English back then...

Oh... and concerning the sex stuff.... watch some French-spoken porn.... the Marc Dorcel/Hervé Bodilis stuff is good, although people in French porn do speak as much sort of as in any other porn... but at least you'll get the basics down while watching porn that is at least stylish and/or above average... :p
Yeah, I'd rather learn how to say it, not direct translations, but how French people would generally say it. You know?
I mean this guy speaks really good French so he'd just laugh at me if I said the wrong thing...
I don't really know what I want to say. We aren't at all involved so I can't just jump straight into dirty things, but I'd love to know some flirty terms.

I can hardly speak any French, at all. I have next to no knowledge.

Well.... my sort of ex father in law (the French guy and I were never married) used to call me "poulette", which is sort of a sweet name (he still does by the way, since we still see each other every now and then). It means (little) chicken, but is meant in a loving way. At first I did not know what to think of it since in Dutch we don't use "poulette" (chicken) in that way to refer to a girl and when the Dutch say "kippetje" it's not meant in a loving way. So there you go... those are the differences.

I must say I must think really hard to remember the things my French BF used to say. There are a few Canadians on this board too, like PredetorSmile and I bet she can help you more. I know a few swear words though.... in case he starts treating you like shit :D
I doubt this guy would appreciate me calling him "little chicken".
Thanks though. =]

I am not a native French speaker, but I know some of the language. Do you have any specifics you would like to say?

Here are some specific things you might try:

Je te trouve beau cheri (Pronounce sort of as: Juh tuh trouve bo cherry, meaning I think you are handsome my darling).

Je trouve tes yeux beaux, mon chou. (Juh trouve tays ee-euh bo, mon shoe, meaning, I think you have beautiful eyes, baby).

Veux-tu... (Veuh tu..., would you like to...)

Sortir avec moi. (sortir avec mwa, go out on a date with me)
Danser. (dansay, dance)
Coucher avec moi. (couchay avec mwa, sleep with me)
Faire l'amour. (fair lamour, make love)

I hope I got these right. If you want bad words I know some too, not sure what you're looking for. Obviously a native or fluent speaker could give you better advice.

Bon chance.

Okay, I know a few lines too...

You are kind translates into tu es gentil
Adorable stays the same but is pronounced different (emphases on both a's)

If a guy is goodlooking he is called a beau mec
I miss you already translates into tu me manques déjà and do I get a kiss? into tu m'embrasses? Can I kiss you? = je peux t'embrasser?
These are great. :) Thank you.

But I'm confused about the use of beau mec...
I don't really get the context you would use it in.

Anyone else got anything?

im in the same boat. i dont exactly need phrases so much as i need to learn fluent french. :/

Whatever you do, don't say 'Votre mère a Belge.' [vo-tra mare ah belj] That means 'Your mother is Belgian', which is an insult.
That's not very in-depth, but because French expressions and sentence structures are different than English, something you say that would be sweet to an American may sound very odd to a Frenchman. I can help you with general exchange of commentary, such as introductions and conversation, but romance is beyond me when it comes to French.
