Help with a story!

My first story was approved! I was so excited to see it and then much to my disappointment, I find that some of the paragraphs were pasted more than once and there were errors. UGH! I have emailed to have it deleted so that I can make the changes and submit again. I'm so embarrassed and now I'm afraid that no one will want to read my submissions.

I've never taken a class on writing and I certainly don't claim to be the best English student. I do however, enjoy a sexy story and love to explore my imagination. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Took a quick look at it, and other than the glaringly obvious double-paste, and a few minor spelling errors, it's not a bad story. You'll have to check your Word program, or whatever you use to write, but it might be too short after you take out that material.

Correct the major paste issue, find some material to beef the story up against the word count shortage if it's not enough, and you should have a perfectly acceptable story.

As for those minor errors, if that's all you need (like I said, didn't give it more than a cursory overview), then you could get an editor from the appropriate forum thread to lend you a hand in checking it. Your story is short enough that it won't be a major issue, I expect.

A. E-mail doesn't do anything. The administrators apparently don't open e-mails.

And B. Sending a PM to Laurel, the editor, might not help either. Go to the FAQs on your submissions page, which will tell you how to get the story corrected yourself.

It happens to the best of us. How did you submit the story? I submitted one tale in an .rtf and half of the story was in all caps. LOL You can easily resubmit an error laden tale, here is the link.

sr gave good advice. The only way to get noticed and get some action is to PM Laurel. If you haven't got a rejection, they should sort you out. They's pretty keen to get stories.
