Help with a search?

So I received a disturbing feedback early this morning. The poster said they read my story on bookstrand.com and was happy to find the rest of it here.

Now this gets me because bookstrand is not a story site but an actual e-book site, meaning my e-book from SmashWords has been stolen.

I went to the site and if you look there is no incest section. I googled the site name with incest and found an author that has incest books there.

I tried under Siblings with benefits(lit name) and Broken (the sw title) nothing. I searched my pen name as well (Laura Lovecraft)

I googled the main characters names and bookstrand and got nothing. It is possible this person is pranking me, but now I am concerned.

Odds are the title is changed, then again how would this person have found it on lit? regardless they would have to leave the story the same.

I am not the best at "searching" things down and am getting frustrated. Any hints on how I can search for it? What makes it hard is as I said they have no incest section yet carry the titles.

Does their search feature actually scan and search the text? If it does, find a passage somewhere in your text that seems fairly unique and try a few words from that.

They would likely change the author and character names, as well as the title.

Unfortunately their search is only by Title, author, publisher As for changing names? Tell you what that is pretty industrious over a 90K piece of work. From what I ave seen here most thieves are not that hard working.

I tried googling a section, but ame up with my link here. But did not get the Smahwords link so that does not mean anything either.

Is it possible they got you mixed up with someone else? Are you sure they read your book (I'm guessing you are, but just checking)?

It's a valid question, but she recognized the lit work from the e-book. Which also, to me says the alleged thief did not change the names.

Also, and I don't say this to be cocky, my series is a bit unique.

There are not too many incest/bdsm/satanic/drug abuse/ sexual abuse stories out there. I think they lifted the e-bbok from SW though, not the individual lit stories. Hopefully anyway, my early lit work featured some piss poor grammar!

In the end I could just be having my chain yanked as well. I have a running fued with another author (no one that posts here) and of course have made a few "friends" here.

I have said any times that I never search for my work as an ignorance is bliss motto. This is why. Now I'm all ticked off.

I had a follow up series planned (not incest) but some of the other characters Now I am pretty sure I won;t put it here. I will just post my upcoming "strokers" I have been dying to get too.
