Help with a name

Hey Babe, do you have an exact country of origin?

Not really yet, it's kindof a fantasy story. Character is supposed to be decended from some eastern european house, so some kind of slovak sounding name maybe?

That makes it easier....try searching for nobelity along that line or royal families and see what comes up. Stay away from Ivana.

Scarlet posted a good link to the Hapsburg family line, lots of good info there.

My problems with Google usually center around being to general in my searches, or if I try to be more specific, my horrible spelling comes into play, muddling my searches.

I'm trying to avoid a pun-fest. :D I wanted something that sounded refined but not 30 letters long that I can't type repeatedly without having to check the spelling every time.
Keep it in memory and paste it in every time.

Katrina Petrova (Catherine, daughter of Peter) is a generic slavic/baltic kind of name with implied assocations to Tsarist Russia.

Since Russia has had a strong influence if not outright rule of eastern europe, a russian or russian influenced name would fit both your time frame and locale.

PS: "Katrina Petrova" would of course be the short, familiar, form of her name. If she's actualy royalty, she would have no less than five and closer to ten names altogether -- her complete formal name is unlikely to come up in your story more than once, though.
