I've got a mic and want to record some poems

what do I do? is there a specific program that would help?

I use GoldWave for all recording purposes. Pretty easy to use and good filters. For instance, if you have background noise in the recoding (like from a computer fan), you can edit that out.

It's shareware, but fully functional forever, if you're cheap.

What specifically do you need help with? Have you got the mic connected and have your soundcard input configured?

thanks for your help, dude

i just need a decent program

i'll have to check that one out

Hi Chris :)

You might want to check out download.com. They have all sorts of free and trial software there. I recall I found a great recording program (it might have been Sony, but I'm not sure--it was quite a while ago) there.

Happy recording!

Hey, Mr. C.

If you have an iPod, don't install Total Sound Recorder. It's not a bad program, but it interferes with iTunes.

If you do end up with something that works well, let me know. I was experimenting with recording myself earlier. It's kind of fun.

okay... how'd you do it Chris? can you explain it in simple english to me please? maybe i'll try one too. maybe. lol

my soundcard doesn't have a mic socket, so I've had to plug it into my speakers

it's easier than buying a new soundcard
