WANTED: Erotica Writing Partner

“Partner” may not be the correct word here, I’m not sure. Perhaps “cohort” or even “confrere” may be the more appropriate term.

At the current time, I don’t consider myself to be much of a writer. I have written a few stories, but they are buried 3 subdirectories deep in “My Documents”, password protected, and I can pretty much guarantee that they will never be seen on your computer screen. (For this you should thank me!) For now, the best thing that I can say about them is that while they are bad, at least I recognize that they are bad! As an erotica writer-wanna-be, I am spitting and sputtering along and making little progress.

What’s that you say? What am I looking for?? I’m glad you asked!

I’m not absolutely sure, but this is what I think I am looking for-
I want to be able to bounce ideas off of someone. I sometimes get stuck trying to give a story that degree of believability; it would be nice to have someone that might provide just a spark that provides me with a more realistic story line. I need someone to not just proof a story for grammar and style, but who can help me weed out weak parts or make them stronger.

I’m not looking for some great writer with several great stories posted here or elsewhere. I don’t care how much or little you have written. Oh, I need someone who can recognize gross grammar and style problems, sure. But mostly I am simply in need of a person with the intelligence to recognize decent writing; and when he (she?) sees where something can be improved, he can help me to figure out how to do it.

In return, I am more than willing to try to provide all the same things in return. I will do my level best to help you also to the extent of my limited abilities. Perhaps, as writers or writers-wanna-be, we can both grow together, share our erotica likes and dislikes, encourage each other and jack each other up (not off!) when we need it.

Wanna be my buddy? …writing buddy that is! Leave a reply here, post a private message, or email me. Let’s "talk"! I really am anxious to find a good writing companion!

Thanks! "Wida"

What type of stories?

Hi Couture.

Thanks for replying. I probably should have said something about the type of writing I prefer to do.

I find myself drawn to two or three different areas- sex between consensual, heterosexual lovers, sex between bi-sexual women, and incest. I lean more toward the last of these three (. . .she says as she casts a furtive look about her, ready to duck at the first stone thrown her way).

Thanks! ”Wida”

Hey - I'd be willing...

If you are willing to do the same for me... I've been working on two BDSM stories - the prelude to one is already posted, but I haven't posted the begining of the other yet. I've gotten an "OK" response to my first story - maybe I can help you out?

Hi BlackBird,

Thanks for your response and your interest. Gosh, BDSM, huh? I am not sure how much help I could be to you, given your area of interest. I am sending you a private message. Okay?

Okay, here's a thought...

Alright. I'm not the best writer in the world, there's no issue on that one, but I'd be willing to read your work, no question and I'd be pleased to have someone to "bounce" my own work off of. But, think of this for just a moment. FIrst of all, the grammar in the post you began this thread with is better than 90% of the grammar on this site, easy. Yes, this place has good writer (dare I call myself one of them?) but it also has its flops, which is common on a free site.
My advice, just send it in, then post here that you've done that and link to it. We can all read it then. Also, eventhough there already are some writer's groups, we could always start our own, and all of us help one another...

Advice

IMHO

Write what you know.

Any idea you get can turn into a story, any fantasy. I ride the train to work, saw a hot gal and wrote about how I imagined meeting her would turn out.

You mention incest intrigues you. You could turn that into a family gathering where you catch a relative who snuck away to pleasure themselves because they've been fantasizing about you. You have them pleasuring themselves, and then maybe you helping out.

Even though it's erotic writing, it's OK to "think outside her box" ...lol

(just an aside, I checked out one of Black_birds stories and he has a handle on plot development)

Here's the obligatory shameless plug to my stuff ...

realism rules

Ok, this comes from a writer of serious science fiction/horror, but realism is the best invention in a story. Even sci-fi has to have some degree of realistic outlook, or else it falls completely apart. I intently try to provide this in my stories, and although they are somewhat far-fetched, I try to include enough "real stuff" to at least give it some credibility.

Wida, however in the world you pronounce that name (LOL), I would much like to read some of your work, as I think we seem to have the same writing interests in commong (at least in the erotica sense). Browse a few of my stories, and see if we share the same views on story content, dialogue, sexual appetites, and, of course, realistic settings.

AmenRa,

I read a sampling of your work, especially enjoying “A Gift From Isis”. This piece dealing with a scribe’s encounter with Isis during the time of the Pharaohs was well done. Yes, I voted on it, giving you high marks and some feedback as well.

Your vampire related writing is, no doubt, equally well written. However, those types of stories hold almost no appeal to me. It is just me, I know.

Oh, check your email.

Thank you for reading and voting on "A Gift From Isis". That story is unique in that it was turned out in less than a day, and I think that it was merely an "attempt" at writing. I also realized that I posted the unedited version of the story. I was in a hurry.

You don't like vampires? Oh my. That is terrible. :)

I did check my email. Thank you very much.

I have always believed that writing is but the mirror image of reading. I would be happy to help you develop your stories, as that helps me with my own writing. I am somewhat new to lit, but do have two short stories published here with good ratings, and while in college my writing professor offered me an assistant writing teacher's position.

If you are interested, please e me at gypsykat69@yahoo.com.

Next to writing...reading is my favorite pasttime.

interested

i'm interested on the partnership you said primarily because i also want someone that will colaborate with my story like yourself i also liked stories depicting incest and bi-sexual women. but i am a newbie and just started creating my first story. if you're interested e-mail me back at rapper@eudoramail.com so we can discuss any other details about it.

Position Filled- Thanks everyone!

Rapper et al,

Thanks for responding to my appeal for help. Since I issued my initial plea several days ago, I have had several offers here, via private message, and by e-mail. I have now pretty much established a working relationship that I hope will be mutually beneficial.

Thanks for your interest though, and I hope you soon locate someone that will be equally as helpful to you.

Best of Luck,

"Wida"
