I constantly receive emails consisting of stories lacking a title and an identity. It would behoove the writer to add a title (including all or a portion of the email address) in the title. Please understand that editors are juggling numerous stories at a time and its so easy to mix the author with the story.

I heartily agree. Also it is in authors' own interests to ad "by whoever ©" as it adds a degree of protection when the email goes astray and the unexpected recipient steals the story.
