while having sex about an hour ago, the condom broke. however, he says he pulled out just before coming. he always pulls out as a back-up in addition to the condom. i felt some semen on my leg. i seriously can't tell if any of it got inside of me. i am somewhere around day 17 of my cycle. i'm usually tend to be an early bird, with my period coming a bit earlier than expected. the condom was good for most of the sex. he did not come inside me but there's a chance a drop or two could have gone in.

what are the actual chances that i could be pregnant? i just don't want to take the morning after pill unless it's truly necessary...

If you are that freaked out about it, take the pill. Even if I were to say to you it is only a .01 percent chance of you being pregnant do you want to take that chance anyways? I mean if your stance is if I am 95 percent covered than I feel okay about it. Well guess what, be prepared to have a child because nothing short of abstaining is pregnant proof. I have seen guys get girls pregnant with two condoms on, after a vasectomy, anal, all kinds of crazy shit. Take the pill if you don't want to get pregnant. And always remember when in doubt, take it.

If I were in your shoes I would be taking myself down to get the morning-after pill! If you really don't want to be pregnant, it would be silly to take a chance :)

If you are as truly worried as you seem to be you should just take the morning after pill. It wont harm you. Unless you have a religious reason against taking it, my advice is take it

What they all said. If you don't want to be pregnant, take care of business.

Also, wearing two condoms increases the chance of condom failure.

For what it's worth, the morning after pill (plan b) is a anti-contraceptive pill, not an abortion pill, and must be taken with in a certain time of sex. I think it's one to five days, but the sooner the better. Make a doctor's appointment for tomorrow and take care of business.

I agree with most everyone here. If you would take the morning after pill if the chances were high(say he didn't pull out) what is the harm in taking the pill with the chances low like now?

If you're not ready for children... Do yourself and the potential children a favor and take the pill.

It's available over the counter now, so no need for an appointment. You can just walk in and ask for emergency contraception. Yes, depending on the part of the country you live in, it can be no fun to ask for it at the pharmacy. If you can, try and go to a big pharmacy, so that if one pharmacist doesn't want to give it to you, someone else will be there to help you.

It's expensive ($50?), so maybe the two of you can split the cost.
