Help please - where to post???

OK, I've written a new story about a cheating wife. For some reason this seems to be a topic that a lot of you have strong feelings against, especially when posted in Loving Wives (where most of the stories seem to follow this theme). Anyway, where would you suggest these stories get posted? And please, don't say the garbage! Fetish? There doesn't really seem to be any other options.

You're opinions would be greatly appreciated!!!

it belongs in Loving Wives. Just make sure you put on your asbestos long johns before you submit it. That category is notorious, but any writer of any genre needs to acquire a thick skin. It's just a fact of life that you can't please all of the people all of the time.

I don't have any opinions as to the stories in the LW category, I don't read them, and I don't write them.

Well, not necessarily a lot of 'us,' but a lot of so-called trolls have strong feeligns about the Loving Wives category.

Your story may or may not belong in LW. It may fit in nicely with Erotic Couplings, Fetish, or BDSM. It all depends on the central theme of the story. Is it about a wife cheating on her husband? Or about a woman wanting satisfaction she does not get from her husband? Are there certain sexual themes to consider that might make it a Fetish story?

With any story, you have to consider the central 'thrust' of the tale. No pun intended. Once you figure out what that is, the choice of category may be eaiser.

If it involves more than two people, have a go at 'Group Sex' I'm going to try that next time, ( that category I mean!)
Seems daft though doesn't it, perhaps they should have a 'Cheating Wives' or a 'Sharing Wives' category to keep everyone happy.

Well, after much thought and deliberation, I've decided to post it to LW because that's where the vast majority of cheating wife stories are, and where fans look for them. I wrote this particular story for someone who contacted me after reading my last story. He gave me the details about the relationship he and his wife have and asked if I could put it in print for him. I sent him a draft of the first chapter for editing and he's happy with it so I think I'm ready to post.

The bottom line is that the couple in this story have a loving relationship together and openly share fantasies of her teasing and being with other men. The fantasies progress and the wife finally realizes she has some sexual needs that are not met within the confines of their marriage. There's a pretty 'out there' scene that brings her to this realization. I know it will offend some, but that's the storyline I was given and I wanted to stick close to it. That's as far as I'll go here, otherwise you won't feel the need to read my story.

LEATBT - thanks for the encouragement. Who would I contact about creating a Sharing Wives (much friendlier than Cheating Wives and I like the consentual aspect) category? Hmm...now that you mention it, I wouldn't mind having a go at group sex myself!!!

cloudy - you're absolutely right. I don't care about the whole rating scheme for my stories, anyway. To me, the whole point of this site is to offer something for everybody, no matter what their likes or kinks. A lot of people may not enjoy my topic or my writing, but they can go 'F' themselves if they want to take the time to put it down. I'm writing this strictly for myself and for the people who enjoy it!

Changing categories has been in threads before. From the way it sounds, the amount of work it would cause wouldn't be worth the doing. Good luck with your story.

I thought I would quickly post an update. My latest story did get posted. I submitted it to LW, but it ended up in Non-Consent/Reluctance. Is this a common occurrence when the editors feel you may be posting to the wrong category?

I'd steer clear of LOVING WIVES as it defiles the very spirit. Try MATURE or EROTIC COUPLINGS. That's my suggestion. Or write a different type of story.
