My partner has written a story in 3 parts for the Lit site, and although he has stuck to the writers guidelines and run it past a couple of the editors (who loved it) it still isn't posted.

Would any kind souls out there that are "pro" lit writers mind taking a look at it and telling us where he is going wrong?

If you would like to help us out then contact me on sorka_faranth@hotmail.com and I will email the story to you.

Thanx

First of all, how did he submit the story?

If he did it via email, tell him to resubmit via the login button on the story index page.
If he did that, then he should wait up to three days. All new stories post a midnight Pacific time.
If it's been more than three days, he should login, hit submissions and view. He should check to see if his story is "pending." If it's not, then he needs to click on the blue phrase there and scroll down to submit his story.

Secondly, did he receive an email of rejection? It would outline that the story

Thanx for the response Killer

He did submit it via the login page, and it is showing as pending...

It has been more than 3 days as pending, the first time he submitted it there was an email rejecting it and the reason why, so he changed it and re-submitted it but is still getting nowhere.

So any more suggestions would be of great help.

If it's pending then all you can do is wait. It generally takes 3 days, sometimes a little more.

When I checked it today, it wasn't there, no "not ever accepted" or "Pending" - just not there at all... So now I am REALLY confused!

I have tried one last time to getit submitted (I did it myself so I know it is done right) but if it doesn't go up this time I am at a real loss...

Thanx for all your help anyway

Story postings

I wrote my latest story "Red Satin Sheets...Part I" (Lesbian) Saturnday, Feb. 23. It was supposed to have taken 3 days, but it didnt' post until this past Friday, March 1. So, I believe with the number of stories they receive, now, the turnover time has increased. The site administrators need to start communicating this time extension to writers ASAP. It is very frustrating, but we must remember that they are running A FREE SITE and are editing our stories free of charge. We should have some patience and respect for the time it takes to do our stories justice on this great site.

Good luck!

Vivacia's comments were aimed at the fact that it was rejected for an incorrect reason - in that the Lit reader thought it was about an underage girl, which it wasn't. It has since been posted but is the subject of another thread started by a confused reader because Part 2 was posted with someone elses work attached and it caused confusion. Parts 1 and 3 are posted but Part 2 is still pending. Unfortunately, this has probably ruined the story for a lot of people as they will have read the end before the middle!

Just a footnote - The entire Trilogy has now been posted - out of order - but at least its all there!

Aw hell...I don't see nuthin' wrong with that!

I read your story, VIVACIA, and it is a good story...very sensual and rather romantic.

I certainly hope you can write others and post them here without the problems you experienced the first time 'round.

...If you can't be good, be good at it!!!!
