Can you give us a few words of the song? 
for soem reason I want to say that either Marty Balin, or Paul Kantner(?) had something to do wtih that song, but it wasn't through Starship.

The chorus, if I remember correctly, goes something like:

Now I know what song you're talking about. I think it was Starship who did it, too.
Unfortunately, I now have the chorus stuck in my head and I can't go any further. Can't help with the lyrics. If it comes to me later I'll post..........I can almost hear it.......kinda whiney singing...

Whew...I can sleep again....
Had a brush with Jefferson Airplane when I was 5 - we were visiting LA and my uncle took us out to dinner at a Chinese restaurant.....my older cousin started going bonkers because of a group of people at a nearby table - it was the Jefferson Airplane. I kept looking at Grace Slick because I thought she was pretty...and she kept smiling and waving at me. SIGH......
