I'm in desperate need of rapidly finding Windows-compatible versions of these fonts:

Woodtype Ornaments 1
Hightower-TextRoman
SabbathBlackHeavy
SabbathBlackRegular
Hightower-TextRoman
Hightower-TextItalic

If you have them in your system, or if you know where I can get them without having to spend $20+ per font, I'd appreciate it. :D

I usually Google for fonts I want...
Don't know if that helps?
Yes, that was my first step, but all the versions I found were for sale, between $20 and $50 per font. I'm not that desperate yet. :D

Makes sense.
Sorry it wasn't more help.

Hightower specifically, try here.

Free fonts in general, here.

PLEASE NOTE:

I have not actually downloaded and installed fonts from this site.

If you find something you want, keep your Anti-Virus handy, and your installation technique sharp.

Just in case.

Thanks, VB. It's no use, there are only commercial fonts for sale for $40. I'm now ready to give up and do without. Someone down the chain will figure out what to do. :D

You have somebody whose duty it is to figure out when it is time to pull the chain?

Perhaps, if you cut back on non essential staff, you could afford any style of font that you wished.

I received a book already paginated and ready for print - from a Macintosh.

When I converted it to Window-compatible and opened it on my PC, in order to edit some of the text, the replacement fonts were completely different - different sizes, even - which obviously screwed up the layout. I wanted fonts similar to the ones used originally so that I could better control any layout changes that my edit could eventually introduce. But, seeing as I can't find those fonts, I'll just make do with Windows' replacement fonts and - when I'm done editing - I'll convert it back to Macintosh and send the file back to the source. Whoever gets it will deal with those small layout changes. ;)

That sounds like too much work, I would rent the video.
