Help me! I want to know how to do pics!

Ok please I have been trying to figure it out and I just can't. I want to put pics with my posts but everytime I do it, it won't work. I put the img thing at the begining and end properly it think.

I also want to know can you use pics on web sites that you find? and how do you do that.

Ok if your going to help me I want to thank you. But plese no big words and talk slow!

Two possible errors:

You have spaces between the first [ and the last ]. There should be no spaces in the line that calls the picture.

Pictures on the web are the only pictures you can link into your posts. The bit between the img,/img tags has to be a URL that is acessible to the BB software when you aren't logged on, and must be in image file. URLs ending in JPG, BMP, and GIF will definitely work. Those ending in TIF might work, but I've never seen any posted. URLs ending in HTM, HTML, SHTML, etc will not work, because they are not images.

Use Right click on the image you want to include, select copy shortcut, and paste the URL into your post. You may need to click on "properties" to get the URL of the picture instead of the web page you found it on. Don't use URL's that have the letters ".cgi", ".asp", or ".php" in them. You need just the URL for the picture, not for the script command that loads the picture.

If you are still having problems, quote a post that has a picture in it and compare the syntax to what you are trying to post.

you can do a ton of stuff on these boards. italic, bold, underline. all that normal stuff. you can make lists. see
