When I post a new story, I usually name my editors in the 'notes' field on the submission form, assuming that literotica staff will find that information useful in evaluating my story before posting. However, in my most recent story, those 'notes' were added to the front of my story.

Since I wasn't expecting this, I didn't get the their permission to be credited. I have notified my editors and am waiting to hear from them about what, if anything, they want me do do.

Has anybody else had this experience?

Think you assume too much interest (and understanding of your intent) from the Lit. editorial staff (which is only one person--Laurel).

Did that to me recently too on a story where I wanted to make clear to her that there was no underage in a story that, because she only scans and errs on the side of rejection, and she moved that up to the top of the story. I abhor putting such defensive disclaimers on the front of a story, but I just left it.

In your case, you might send Laurel a PM (private message system, upper right corner of this page), identify your story, and ask her to delete the information. And then don't bother to put that in the notes section anymore. I don't think it means anything to her in the madhouse of trying to clear 60 stories or more every day.

Ok, thanks. I've seen Laurel's name before, but didn't realize she was it. You're right, I assumed too much.

If I repost the story with the line removed, does it reset all the voting and comments?

You can file an edit (look at the submission FACs for directions) that deletes that and you'll keep your votes/comments/views.

Poor Laurel!

I've been asked for editing help on rejected stories, and it's always been very clear why they were rejected. I feel for Laurel, slogging through that stuff.
