Help Finding Story

Basically, I was reading a story before I went on vacation. It was about a kid helping his friend's mom paint their house or something along those lines. When I went on vacation, I forgot the story and now I don't know the name of it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

you can search for stories by author, title etc, but you can also search using 'key' words, maybe that would pull it out?
