Help Finding Story Wife Cheating with co-worker

Read a story a few weeks ago about a man and wife married 6 or 7 years and they have a daughter. The wife tells her husband she's working late on a company audit. The husband is warned by an anonymously that his wife is not working on a audit but is having an affair with a co-worker. The anonymous warning says that his wife and her lover are meeting at a hotel after work. The husband goes to the hotel and meets the wife's lover in the bar but does not identify himself and leaves the bar before his wife arrives. He waits in the lobby and watches his wife and lover go in the elevator. He leaves the hotel and then talks with a friendly couple about the situation. The story goes on and later he confronts his wife and their reconciliation starts. Any help in getting the title and/or author would be greatly appreciated.

I remember reading that story but don't remember much about it.

I have been trying to find it for you but nothing seems to work. That wasn't the one that was taken down because the type was too small to read, was it?

In any event, is there anything more you can remember? I used key words, anonymous, hotel, elevator, and came up with nothing.

LTW, thanks for your help with this. Thought this was a good story until the hubby bowed out at the hotel and let his wife go on with her lover. IMO, would have had the hubby go out on the same evening for dinner with his friends (neighbors/married couple) who know what's happening. He calls his wife at work and tells her that he's going out with friends for dinner but doesn't say where. His plan is to meet his friends at the same hotel and have them "accidentally" run into his wife and lover in the bar just before the hubby arrives. At the hotel the friends "bump" into the wife and her lover and say they are "surprised" to see her there since she was working late on an audit. Don't know how I would play out the rest but it sure would make it interesting. I don't want to be critical of other readers and authors but I just have a hard time with stories of husbands letting their wives start or continue an affair once they know. Once again thanks for your help.

he was stunned at first. After he regained his wits about him, he went charging outside to find them but they were gone...or was it she who was gone and the lover passed him in coming back in? I don't really remember it that well.

I remember having the same reaction as you, though. I like confronting things straight on. If it were me, I'd ruched over and decked the son of a bitch right in front of my wife.

Actually, I think I'm thinking of a different story. One where hubby was at a hotel luncheon getting a promotion when he saw his wife with another man.
