Hells Bells, Don't deal with the Sidhe <OOC>

I know I'm new to the site but I am not however new to RPs. And would like to start a Dresden files RP. Not necessarily going to follow canon, simply because where the booms are now is to precarious to write about. So basically I'm looking for some broad ideas and your character if your in.

Please have some knowledge of the series if you want to jump in. There is a few laws in those books that I just don't want to have to argue about if you break them and your character has to suddenly die.

Hey there, I'm actually fairly new to the site myself but no where near new to roleplaying. I used to roleplay on Gaiaonline for a while when I was younger, and have been on other various forum and even real time chat programs, or hell, even email.

Anyways, I fucking love the Dresden series. Although I've just kind of gotten into the books myself, I do know a fair deal about it as most of my friends have told me quite a bit about it and I know most of the laws that govern the wizards among other things, though I'm not gonna claim expertism on it at all. Plus, Sidhe and the fae have always been kind of a favorite of mine, and not just from the Desden files books but from other works of literature as well. If you wouldn't mind PMing me with whatever idea you've got floating about or willing to discuss further in depth here what it is that you're thinking about roleplaying about, I'd love to take a look.

As for the character I'd play I'd have to think on that some, likely know what sort of options are open given the ideas you might have. I don't think coming in with a vampire would really suit, not that I would play one but I don't know how it would fit into a Fae RP, or what court or courts are going to be involved as well....cause if it's a more of a Seelie Court RP and I make an unseelie, well, that can be just a tad bit awkward less the RP is like a war between the two or something along those lines.

I have to be honest in saying that I have read all the Dresden File books and love them! How could you not love a series of books like that.

It's been a while since I've read the first book, but I did enjoy it considerably. It would certainly be helpful if you posted a short list of the key, non-negotiable rules you want to maintain in the game. I'm interested in running a fairly mundane character who finds himself in over his head. Would that work with what you have in mind?
