So after lurking around the boards for a while, I decided to register. Not really sure what I am looking for, if I am going to stay for a long time or not even last a week. All I know is that it will be an adventure nevertheless.

Looking forward to meeting interesting, fun, weird people and maybe make a few news friends along the way.

As for me, I am 32, single and fun (at least I believe). I am very honest in my approach and never scared to state my opinions. Hopefully I won't rub people the wrong way out here...

I guess that's it for now. Feel free to drop in and say hello.

It might be helpful if you state your gender. Just FYI...
 
A few observations in the 2 days that I have joined the boards:
  1. A woman posting an introduction (or just about anything) gets tons of replies.
  2. When a man posts a one-liner, tons of people reply telling him to put in details to get responses.
  3. When a man posts a fairly detailed introduction, they either get no response or as in my case, I get one response from someone who asks me for my gender (probably was hoping that I was a woman) and doesn't even bother to say Hi or Hello.

This is a truly strange place!

Some of my observations:it
1. The boards are filled with many rude and crude horn dogs just out for a jerk session, mostly of the male persuasion.
2. No one, male or female tend to like one liners.
3. In order to draw the attention of the ladies it is important that you have a well written profile and show respect in your posts or replies. Yes, we all like to play, but get to know the boards a bit.

Also, there are 250 men looking to be chatted up/sexed up for every 1 woman.

The odds are forever in their favor, so to speak.

Generally speaking, you're better off posting in some threads in one of the other forums (Fetish, Playground, General Board, whatever) and giving people a chance to see your personality in action than you are trying to draw attention with a Personal Ad, IMO.

Pretty much spot on. It's not that we women don't want to chat you up, it's wondering when or if you'll become the captain of the USS Douche Canoe and try to get busy before you've gotten to know us.
 
Simpletimes & RawHumor - I guess you are missing the point. I am not trying to draw attention...was just making an observation.

My point is - what does it take for someone to just say "Hello and Welcome"? People are putting more effort in telling others what to do and what not to do and how things work. I guess I am expecting the wrong things from this board. I am active on many other boards - cars, motorbikes, gaming, music - and when someone introduces themselves, you get a whole bunch of people dropping in and saying a simple "Hello".

Oh well...

If you really want to enjoy a good bashing just post anything on the general board. :D

A tip from me, don't leave again within days ... there at truly great people here ... you just need to weed a lot.

But honestly there are intelligent people here. There are also a lot of idiots but the same is true for just about anywhere :)

Lol. Not seasonality. But people get busy. And those of us with children were ...distracted...by RL this weekend! And threads have a tendency to get buried quickly if you're not online a lot. That's why people bump them... ;)
