I like your writing style, it's just disjointed enough to be really interesting, I like reading stories like that with strange metafor. Heck, I like writing stories like that too. But with this story, I suffered from having absolutely no idea what was going on. It was a neat little literary sprint and fun to read, but I like more 'story' in my literature. Simply not my cup of tea.

First of all, I doubt that most of the people that opened your story and didn't vote on it read your post. Second of all, I think that a lot of people open stories and take one look at the first paragraph and close them. A lot of times when I'm skimming for a read, I'll open something and skim through it to see if it's what I'm looking for. If it's not, I'll close it without voting (Since I don't know how it was) and go on to the next one. Another posibility is that people could open your story twice, wanting to re-read it or share it with a friend (I am known to re-read stories that I enjoy) and no one person can vote on a story twice.
So don't panic, even if only a small number of people are voting - as I've read on the forum, it happens to everyone. (Sure is happening to me!!!) = ) = )
