I found enlightenment people. I am the Adult Child of an Alcoholic parent.

I recently read about this syndrome and found the key to what has made me the way I am.
I found that I am a victim not by choice but a victim none the less. I have lost my identity but now I know how to deal with things better.
I can now understand my depression as well as my actions.
I can now go back into my past and see the things, thought painful, that lead me to where I am today.
I can now find my inner child and bring her out to play.

I can finally begin to heal.

I was wondering if there is anyone else out there going through the same thing?
I never thought of things as being bad, my dad was a holiday/celebration drinker. It would last about a week and then life went back to 'normal'. I just never realized how much it actually affected me and the way I turned out.
