Hi, I am trying to develop another fan fiction story but my problem is that of future harsh criticisms of the story. It's about a movie critic who seduces his college intern after hours. What makes a story "Hot"? My other problem is that I am "hibited". Each time I try to be explicit sexually in the story, I become embarassed. Any help in developing a good celebrity parody would be excellent. By the way, I added a disclaimer showing that I meant no harm in using the particular's character sexually.

Hello Lolita.

Not sure I can help you, never having written in Celebrities. Don't think I could, I prefer to make up my own characters.

For me a hot story requires emotion. If you can create an emotional scene and communicate it to the reader, it will probably end up hot.

And I can't help you with the embarrassment. But you're not doing anything wrong. Just about everybody has sex at some point in their life. It's nothing unusual.

There's lots of celebrities stories here on the site, so I wouldn't worry about any kind of disclaimer. If you mean how does a story get the H when asking what makes a story "hot", it's any story with 10 or more votes and a rating of at least 4.50.

Please don't this the wrong way, but I have to ask. If writing sexually explicit scenes embarrasses you, why are you writing erotica? Just curious. I'm sure if that's a problem, it is something that will fade as you get more experience in writing those scenes.

Hi Lolita,

Welcome to the AH, if I haven't already said it. :)

I was embarrassed about writing graphic sex. I felt like someone was going to read it and think I was the biggest idiot on earth. So, what I did is I sat down and wrote the nastiest, hottest bout of sex that my perverted mind could come up with. I used all the dirty words, too. It worked. For me, it was getting over the hump, so to speak. :D

Now I just write what I see happening in my head, what "I'm" (protagonist) feeling, thinking, and it's not so embarrassing to write. But watching someone read it, that's another matter...

Luck,

Yui

Totally agree Yui about it's different watching someone read it.

I edited out all my sex scenes when I sent a few of my stories to family and friends.
Writing them, to me is fun... writing a good blowjob I find, I have to have a fresh page, and just write the scene and add it to the story later... don't ask me why, but they never seem 'real' unless I write them that way.

All I can add is that, yes, it is a little awkward to write about sex - at least for me anyways. How can you write something that's intimate and passionate and then release it to be posted where a bunch of pervs looking for a quick wank will not only do just that, but then vote and maybe even comment about it afterwards? You can conjure a filthy, nasty fantasy and 'give them what they want,' but if it doesn't come to you, then you're just forcing something out that isn't there, and it's going to show in your work. You can emulate it, but it's not your own.

The only true solution I've managed so far is to write what comes to you. Draw on experiences (they don't have to be sexual) and intergrate it into your characters. Then let your characters do the fucking, and guide them with your keyboard.

(FWIW - I checked out your first story posted. Not bad, just a little quick for my tastes. One problem with Celebrities is that, being people, they're already defined characters that people have their own perceptions of. If you can work around that, it should be good.)

Just my two cents. Good luck!
