I need help!! Lit (and a couple other VBulletin BB sites) won't let me vote!! I cannot vote on threads (like in the SRP) and I cannot vote on polls. I get "The action you have attempted could not be performed as your session appears to be invalid. Click the below link to attempt this action again with a new session." (Then there is a blue link that says "try this action again". If I click it, I get the same before message.) And, I know I am logged in. I inabled the use of cookies (in my control panel) so I am automatically logged in every time I open Lit. Anyone know why three similar BB sites won't let me vote ever?

The best thing would probably be to contact Laurel with this. It's probably a bug in the system, that only they can fix.

The only possibility I can think of is that your Browser isn't handling the vB/UBB cookies correctly. Lit uses permanent cookies AND "per-session" cookies. If your browser is set to refuse one type or the other, Lit won't work right.

Check Tools/Internet Options/Security for what cookies are allowed for Lit. (I have Lit in the "trusted sites" zone and set for all cookies allowed.)

Thanks for the help. I added Lit (and the other BB sites) to my "trusted sites", but Lit still will not let me vote.

i get the same error from time to time.. only i dont click the link, i refresh the page instead and it usually goes through then. if it doesnt, i hit the back button and try it again and it goes through then.

Have you tried purging your internet history (temporary internet files, internet history and cookies folder?) It certainly sounds like a cookie problem, but there may be something in your history files that needs to be refreshed or is corrupted so that your system and the BB systems aren't seeing the same session information.
