I've been there many times. Haven't been there since Covid hit, so I can't tell you about that.

What is it "really" like? You will see lots of sex, but it probably won't drop into your lap. You won't be forced into anything or have people throwing themselves at you. But they might make polite inquiries, such as, "So, do you and your hubby swing?" If you want to, say yes. If not, a simple, "no thanks" is all it takes. No means no at Hedo.

If you DO plan to "swing," make sure that you and your mate discuss your limits BEFORE your trip. And then stick to the plan. Unless you mutually agree to relax the limits after you get there. If you get an invitation, nobody will mind if you say "yes, but we have this set of limits....." They will work with you on that!

It is VERY easy to make friends. When everyone is naked, everyone is "open" in mind as well. No preconceived notions about income or jobs or anything else. Everyone is just people and get along great. Young and old and everyone in between all get along. On many of my trips I've gone there alone. I always had a dozen new best friends by the time I went back home.

However fat, thin, ugly, beautiful, tattooed, or scarred you think you are, there WILL be someone there who is more so. And nobody cares about any of it.

Introverted people there find it very easy to come out of their shell.... if they want to. If they would rather sit in a corner and read a book, nobody will bother them. If they shyly approach a group to say hello, they will be welcomed.

Clothes to bring? Hahahaha!!! Actually, you need clothes in the dining room, but that's about it. Most people wear very casual clothes (shorts, sandals, t-shirts), but some of the ladies like to go full-on slut with the naughtiest outfits they can find. That's always fun, to do or to watch.

If you are new to nude beaches, bring a "wrap" of some type. Then you can wear that to the beach, and whip it off in an instant. Trying to pry off shorts, undies, tops, while surrounded by naked people, is excruciating. A wrap or sarong or even a towel makes it so much easier that first time. (by the second time, it will be easy no matter what)

Bottom line, GO! You will love it.

Thanks! We've done nude/lifestyle resorts and camping and clubs, but this would be the first "out of the country" thing. It does sound like a blast, and the fact the people are from all over, it probably does help "loosen" things up. You have said you've gone a bunch of times.. is there a particular time of year that is best? We were going to go in June, but now that we are re-booking, we have options.

I try to go in the Spring, as that gives me something to look forward to all winter, but that's just a personal preference. It is fun all the time. January is rumored to be a heavy swinger's month, but I haven't experienced that first hand. Halloween and New Years are extremely crowded. Summer tends to be mellower. But it's a good time whenever you go.
