I've tried powdered milk. You have to get the ratio just right but even then it's just not the same. My grandma handed down to me a family recipe involving sweetened, condensed milk that I enjoyed enough to not want to share with the general public.Carnation instant milk. We had it around when I was a kid. It was horrible.
