(OOC: I want to put a disclaimer on this. The following post, my character has been convinced to get an abortion. In the end she doesn't (spoilers). I am putting the disclaimer here, because I don't know who might read this and I don't want to accidentally trigger something for anyone. Thanks for reading!)
Today was probably the worst day of Leda's life, at least that's what it felt like.
2 weeks ago, Leda hadn't been feeling well, and a trip to her doctor's revealed that she was pregnant. It wasn't in Leda's plan to have a baby at 19, but as soon as she found out she was she had been imagining what the baby would look like. Would it be a boy or a girl? Were they going to be healthy? Would she be a good mom? Her boyfriend, whom she was living with had only one question.
"You're not gonna keep it, right?"
When she told him that she thought about it, he quickly swooped in, trying to diffuse the situation as quickly as possible. He gave her every reason under the sun that he could think of as to why she shouldn't have the baby. Any semblance of happiness she had at the thought of holding her baby were suddenly squashed when Chris made it clear that he didn't support it. So they made some calls and found a clinic that was in the bad part of town where they could afford to have it taken care of.
Fast forwarding to today.
Chris drove her to the clinic. They went in and waited, and then Leda was taken into the back where the procedure was explained to her and they asked her some questions. When it came to signing the paper work, Leda froze and then started crying. No part of her wanted this. One of the nurses took her to the side and they talked. She cancelled the procedure and went back into the lobby.
Christ got up from his seat, he thought she was just coming back to say goodbye to him and then he would be back when she woke up. When she told him that she wasn't doing it, at first he tried to tell her that she was just scared and that she didn't want a baby.
But when she didn't budge on her decision, he got angry. He yelled at her and called her stupid and selfish for doing this to him. Then he threw the ultimatum that if she had the baby, they were done and he didn't want anything to do with either of them. He left with only saying "Call me when you make the right decision."
Now Leda was all alone and in this creepy clinic in the worst part of the city. She had no money for a cab home, and even if she did Chris probably wouldn't let her in. Leda had three choices: Try to walk back to her old apartment, call her parents, or call her brother.
Right now, Leda couldn't handle talking to her parents about the situation... Her brother though... they weren't really close and didn't really know if he would help her... But right now it was the only favorable option.
Pulling out her phone, she dialed his number.
