listening to doctor pam the agony aunt on the radio tonight , when a man came on and said that he had been married for a year now and both he and his wife were still virgins. not uncommon i thought until dr pam asked the man his age
he was 36 and his wife was 37
there is a real pertinant question here somewhere but i am damned if i can think of it
opinions please

Not uncommon? I would expect that any couple married for more than twenty-four hours would both be deflowered!

There is something definitely strange about a pair of middleaged people who have been married a year and are still virgins! As in rubber room and butterfly net strange.

first off , they got married and didn't sleep with each other . i mean you try on pair of shoes before you buy them don't you???

They could be Shakers.

I know, I know! But they could be...

36 & 37???

Good God I lost my virginity 1 month after my 15th birthday. I can't even fathom being 36 or 37 and still being a virgin. Man that just seems wrong to me. Very Very Wrong.

Not so much wrong as just very unusual for single people. If they've been married a year it sounds more like freakish.

BP, Shaker still reproduce don't they? they can't all stay virgins forever.

Which is why you do not see many Shakers anymore!

Some people have a condition where contact with another person is extremely repulsive. The marraige is probably only for companionship.

Legally, I think it could be annulled, but that is not an informed conjecture since I am not a lawyer.

shakers dont have sex..i thought they had all died out

they put all their excess energy into chair making apparently
