$1.89 for premium here.

So, when Saddam says "heel" to you "or submit to my chemicals" are you going to say "Only if you drop the price of gas".

Cheapest gas here is $1.59.

If Bush wants to get re-elected he needs to get his ass in gear.

Fuck no. Gephart and Lieberman both suck GOP dick on almost all their goddamn votes.

Bush41 raised taxes. That was what bit him in the butt.

Bush43 is going to get some dictators heads and cut taxes. He will be around for another term. I can hear the libs nashing their teeth now! What a beautiful sound it is too.

Ah, nope not anyone on the horizon...

Dems offering no one new or compelling...

I hope someone with some vision, some empathy, and some smarts rises out of the void and captures the moment...

*hope hell freezes over too*

aw well, its not gonna be a cakewalk for Shrub...my money!

Taxes aren't everything. If unemployment is severe enough he is going to have a hell of a time. His tax cuts might fix that, but the predictions are that either they won't or that they won't go into effect until just at election time. He's playing with fire here.

Teeth nice and relaxed....

*grin*

cut taxes...

we'll see we'll see...:p

Sometimes life's a bitch. I guess the opposite could occur and a lib could win the White House and raise taxes. That would be just great wouldn't it? </sarcasm>

I'd prefer peace. I'd prefer that Saddam "retires"

I don't like the fact that he's doing so much to hide weapons. Why is he trying do desparately to hide them? Why is he working so hard to build a nuclear weapon. It's not as if he's trying to build power plants because he has no alternative sources of power. I don't like the fact that he's killed so many of his countrymen and show such blatent disregard for others such as those in Kuwait.

I don't like the precedent of our country participating in a pre-emptive strike either.

On the other hand, I'm glad that there are (now) so many countries that are supportive of us and are willing to join us as allies. The UN is moving towards condemnation of Saddam. At this point, there are only a few countries that are withholding their support and those countries have direct economic ties to Iraq even though it's against the UN policies.

If the choice were easy, then we wouldn't be having this debate though, eh? The tough choices take a lot more thought and are accompanied by a lot more doubt too.

I've been on the fence for a long time. A month ago, I thought that I'd wait and see if he could garner support and build a coalition of many countries. In fact, many people on lit, I noticed, said the same thing. "How can we unilaterally decide to go to war?" they said. However, now it's a different situation. The President indeed has formed a coalition and Iraq hasn't become any more cooperative and is still trying to hide is weapons (and we have evidence of that).

Like I said above, I'd prefer peace and I'd prefer that Saddam "retires", but I also know that just wishing doesn't make things happen.

I'd like to see more investigation done before launching an attack. I presume that they'll (our administration) will continue to do everything they can to resolve this peacefully. However, at this stage, with a coalition in place, if the President decides to launch an attack, I'll be a supporter.

Yes it would. Then we could actually fund stuff like social security and health care and education.

We are trying to cut taxes. That is a big deal to me. I like having more of my own money.

No I do not, which is precisely why I think Bush will be re-elected. Gephart has backed the pro-war stance of the Bush Administration, something that might hurt him in the Iowa Democratic caucus. Jesse Jackson...? Hey I hear Arnold Schwarzeneger might run for California governor, maybe I'll start my Arnie for President in 2012 campaign early.

lol...please.....what I still love is that your conservatives to this DAY....still have youe assholes pucker at the mere mention of President Clinton.

Your number one propaganda machine rush limbo still cant talk for two minutes without mentioning President Clinton 5 times in a two minute period.

I will never ever forget, and will every day re live the glee I felt when NOTHING would stick to him, and he left office after 8 years the most popular president this country has ever had.

Then seeing Gingrich,Lott, and the rest go down in a huge ball of flames was so beautiful to see......

Then that republican congressman that changed his party affiliation to libertarian was AWSOME!

We will be rid of this kid soon enough, and he can go home to mummy and daddy.

He is just a puppet anyhow...everyone knows who is really running the white house.

appreciate your cogent thoughts...

I just smell a rat...we could name many countries that have some pretty lousy stuff going on...jeez, endlessly...

ya know the public sentiment out there in the world is galvanizing daily-and our president is really just not a very good spokesman for our country...watch as war unfolds... if it does...it will not be pretty for GWB when the deathmachine gets cranking...

politicians will run worldwide like a wild turkey thru the corn...

IMHO :rose:

and you actually believe this? so sad are the misled.

Funny how both the supposed left and supposed right buy into the horsecrap their leaders spew. I hate to disapoint you but your president is not going to lower your overall tax rate. He'll find some sneaky way to make up the loss.

Now am I saying a democrat would be better, good GOD no. Face it, we as a nation will not see better days or lower true taxation till we overthrow the two party system. Or you can continue to believe the repumocrats and their spin.
