So Thing 2 comes up to me yesterday and says, "Trick or Treat" with a fairly earnest look on his face.

I chuckle and tousle his hair. He looks back at me with intense seriousness and says, "Trick or Treat" again, and holds out his Easter basket.

So I ask my wife why he thinks it's Halloween.

She explained that since he has a basket that people keep putting candy in, and everybody is dressing up in rabbit ears and duck beaks and the rest of the Easter foolishness, the poor child has holidays confused!

HILARIOUS! I love it. Out of the mouths of babes..... :)

He has to be...he's out of warranty, so he's doing everything he can to keep from getting junked!

I haven't settled on one...

Everyday they do their best to live up to them. Now when we read "The Cat In The Hat" they point to the Things with pride.

They have single (double) hanedly made every parent in our neighborhood grateful for their children...

lol...
are you one of those parents that can't help but crack up when they do something?

I hope I grow out of that... it's going to be bad if I keep laughing when she does something unacceptable.

Good to be back, Lady Lavvy.

Perky, there are times when I can't stop laughing. We already have to be careful around Thing 2...he is very literal.

I'm sorry, I don't know their ages.

My girl, is just a week or so past 1.

She seems to enjoy it when I laugh and repeats the things I don't want her to do. And then I realize that's what she's doing and it makes me crack up even more. Damn, this is hard stuff...lol, responsibility for forming someone.

Children are the best aren't they?

My son lost his first tooth yesterday. He says he wants the tooth fairy to bring him daffodils. I talked him out of putting the tooth under his pillow until tonight. How am I going to be able to give him daffodils for his tooth...

"You're up to sumping mom, I can tell."
