"He made me do it" I said into the phone. It was the morning after and I was alone in the house. I had a cup of coffee and was wearing my robe. My fingers flipped the pack of cigarettes I kept around for just such occasions. I had not lit one yet.
"I wanted it as much as they did but I could have said no" I heard myself telling my sister across town. My head was starting to feel better as the joint I smoked was settling my nerves.
"I can't believe it either" I said as a smile crossed my face thinking of the night before. Here I sat a forty year old woman, married fifteen years, my shoulder length brown hair a mess and my makeup still smeared from the night before explaining to my sister what I could of the night past.
"I don't know, I had few shots after too much wine and then we came home" I explain trying to remember how things had ended. I remembered a lot of it and there were three of us in bed but I can only hope my husband was not jealous or angry I had done it.
"Yeah I know, he made me do it." I repeated as she tried to calm me down. "Ok talk to you later" I told her and hung up.
I stared out the sliding glass door into the backyard and thought about how it had all started yesterday afternoon...
