Having trouble posting....

I'm new here so please forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong area.

I'm seeking help for a story posting problem I'm having. Every time I try and post a story ( after clicking preview ) it loads for a moment and then goes to a blank white screen and stops loading, forcing me to reload and try again.

....am I doing something wrong ?

No, you probably aren't doing anything wrong. It's one of a couple of errors in posting that have been going on for months (and it happened to me on my last submission last Sunday). By just keeping posting I've managed to get through that particular problem by the third attempt. (A separate problem running is in getting an error message--but in those cases the story actually have been accepted to the submissions list.) If you can't get through after several attempts, contact Laurel, the sole site editor, via PM (Private Messages) message (the only system she'll open messages here apparently, despite the claims otherwise). Use just that name, Laurel. It's been reported before, but it's probably good to keep reporting it.

We're aware of the problem, which seems to be sporadic and thus its cause difficult to pin down and solve. For the last month, we've been working hard to get the new user control panel up for you all to test.

Our resources (and thus, time) is limited. We can either

1) stopping work on the new control panel to track down and fix a glitch in the old code

or

2) double down and try to get the new control panel out as soon as possible, at which point the old control panel will no longer matter.

We've chosen #2. We hoped to be able to beta the control panel before the end of the year, but there are still some things that need fixing before we can open it up to you all for testing.

In the meantime - it seems that often the submission will have been posted despite the blank page/error message you receive. Please check your submission page to see if the submission made it through. If it did not and you continue to receive the error, wait an hour or two, then check to see your submission did indeed make it through. If not, please try resubmitting.
